The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor in works of a similar nature over the last five years and in the current year. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed as on the date of submission. The bidder should provide information on their work experience, including the total value of civil engineering constructions work performed in the last five years, and details of work performed as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor. The bidder should also provide quantities of work executed, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work. The value of contracts is mentioned in Rs. Crore and Rs. The bidder should also have access to, or have available, liquid assets (aggregate of working capital, cash in hand, and uncommitted bank guarantees) and/or credit facilities up to 25 percent of the value of the contract or contracts applied for. The percentage to apply the value of the work not completed, representing the employer's additional cost for completing the works, shall be 20 percent. The bidder should undertake to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract.
