For qualification, the bidder should have a preliminary description of the proposed work method and schedule. The bidder should also provide information on the quantities of work executed as a prime contractor or work performed in the past as a nominated sub-contractor, for the last five years and the current year before the submission of the bid. The bidder should have completed works with a gross value of at least 90% of the original contract price. The experience of other joint venture partners should be considered if it is not less than 30% of the qualifying criteria. The lead partner in a joint venture should meet not less than 50% of all criteria. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The value and percentage of similar works completed are 90% or more of the original contract price. The bidder should have access to or have available liquid assets of up to 25% of the value of the contract.
