The bidder should have prior work experience as a prime contractor, and work performed in the past as a nominated sub-contractor will also be considered. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature over the last five years. Specifically, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed as of the date of submission, and continuing satisfactorily. The bidder should also have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works, of at least the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years. Quantities of work executed, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work, should also be provided. The total value of civil engineering constructions performed in the last five years, with a breakdown of the value of works completed in each year, should be provided as well. The available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years, using the formula: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A*N*2 - B), where A is the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works, and B is the value at current price level of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next period of completion of work.
