The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid is calculated using the formula: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A*N*2-B) Where: A = Maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years (updated to the price level of the year indicated in appendix) taking into account the completed as well as works in Progress. B = Value at current price level of the existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next 6 Month (period of completion of work for which bids are invited). N = 1 for single bidder and for JV it will be number of partners. Alternatively, the bid capacity required can also be determined based on the qualification criteria, which includes: - Financial Turnover: The bidder must demonstrate an annual financial turnover equal to or greater than the annual value of the contract(s) they are bidding for, in at least one of the last five years. - Experience: Completion of at least one contract of similar nature with a value of at least 40% of the proposed contract's value within the last five years. - Formulas for Calculation: For works executed in India, costs are adjusted using multiplying factors based on the financial year, and for works executed outside India, the current market exchange rate is used to convert foreign currency into Indian Rupees. The available bid capacity should be more than the total estimated cost of the works.
