The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed. The bidder should have completed at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract in similar works. The bidder needs to provide information on work performed as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor in the last five years, including project details and quantities of work executed. The value of similar works completed should be mentioned in the bid. Additionally, a certificate from the employer or engineer-in-charge for the completed works is required. The amount of 5% of the contract price is mentioned as the amount for the Performance Security.
