The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in similar works. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed as on the date of submission. The value of similar works completed is at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract, and the percentage of similar works completed is at least 90 percent for substantially completed works. The bidder should provide information on their past work experience, including the year, name of the work, name of the employer, quantity of work performed, and remarks. The bidder should also provide a certificate from the employers, incorporating clearly the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, satisfactory performance of the contractor, and any other relevant information. The bidder can have acquired this experience as a prime contractor, joint venture, or nominated sub-contractor, with weight given to each joint venture in proportion to their financial participation.
