The required prior work experience for the bidder is in civil engineering constructions, specifically in works of a similar nature over the last five years, including the current year before the submission of the bid. The bidder should have completed works as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor. The information to be filled in by the bidder includes the total value of civil engineering constructions worked performed in the last five years, and details of work performed, including project name, name of the employer, description of work, contract number, value of contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, and actual date of completion. The bidder should also provide quantities of work executed, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work, for each year. To qualify, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed as on the date of submission, and continuing satisfactorily. The bidder's available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years. The assessed available bid capacity is calculated as (A*N*2 - B), where A is the maximum value of work executed, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works, and B is the value at the current price level of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next period of completion of work. The bidder should have a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works, of the annual value of the contract/contracts applied for in any one year over the last five years.
