The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works, in any one year, over the last five years of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The value of similar works completed should be at least 40 percent of the proposed contract, and the percentage of completion for substantially completed works should be at least 90 percent. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed, and the gross value of work done up to the last date of submission is 90 percent or more of the original contract price. The bidder should submit a certificate from the employer incorporating clearly the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, satisfactory performance of the contractor, and any other relevant information. Additionally, the bidder would invest a minimum cash up to 25 percent of the value of the work during implementation of the contract. The bidder should provide information on the total value of civil engineering constructions performed in the last five years, as well as details of specific projects completed. The quantities of work executed as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in the last five years should also be provided. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature, with a value of at least 40 percent of the proposed contract value, within the last five years.
