The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed works of a similar nature, with specific requirements such as achieving a minimum annual financial turnover of the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The value of similar works completed should be at least 90% of the original contract price. The percentage of similar works completed that will be considered is at least 30 percent for other joint venture partners and at least 50 percent for the lead partner. The lead partner in a joint venture must meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The bidder should provide a certificate from the employer, incorporating the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, satisfactory performance of the contractor, and any other relevant information, for similar works completed with a value of 90% or more of the original contract price. The bidder's available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the year indicated. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price, and continuing satisfactorily. The required prior work experience for the bidder is to be given weight in proportion to their financial participation in the joint venture.
