The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having a minimum annual financial turnover of at least the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years. Additionally, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40% of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The value of similar works completed is required to be at least 40% of the value of the proposed contract. The bidder must have completed at least one contract of similar nature with a value of at least 40% of the proposed contract. The percentage of similar works completed is 40% of the value of the proposed contract. The bidder should also have a specific number of engineers with qualifications depending on the cost of the work to be executed. For example, when the cost of the work is more than Rs.50 lakhs, the bidder must have two graduate Civil Engineers and three diploma Civil Engineers. The bidder must provide details of specific projects completed, including the value of the contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, and actual date of completion. They must also provide information on their bid capacity, including existing commitments and ongoing works, as well as works that are yet to be completed. The quantities of work executed as prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in the last five years must also be provided, including quantities of cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work. The bidder must have access to, or has available, liquid assets (aggregate of working capital, cash in hand and uncommitted bank guarantees) and / or credit facilities up to 25 percent of the value of the contract / contracts applied.
