The bidder should have work experience as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor, where the sub-contract involved execution of all main items of work described in the bid document. The experience should be in works of a similar nature over the last five years and in the current year before the submission of the bid. The bidder should provide information on the quantities of work executed, including the name of the employer, quantity of work performed, and remarks. The quantities of work executed are categorized into different types such as cement, masonry, earth, and bituminous work. The bidder should also provide information on the value of contracts completed, including the contract number, value of contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, actual date of completion, and remarks explaining reasons for delay. Substantially completed works means those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price, and continuing satisfactorily. In case of a joint venture, the lead partner shall meet not less than 50% of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The experience of the other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30% of the qualifying criteria. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of the contract applied for. Additionally, the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The available bid capacity is calculated as (A*N*2-B), where A is the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the current price level. The bidder must also meet the minimum qualification criteria, but the exact criteria are not specified in terms of percentage or amount of similar works completed, except for the mention of 90% completion for substantially completed works, 40% of the value of the proposed contract, and 30% and 50% for joint venture partners.
