The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completing works similar to the one being bid on. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of similar work of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five financial years. Substantially completed works means those works which are at least 90 % completed. Additionally, the bidder should have completed 60% of quantity of principal items of work like concrete, earthwork, pipeline, pumping station etc. within last five financial years. The bidder should also have a minimum annual financial turnover of Rs.----Crore for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works in any one year, over the last five financial years. The lead partner in a joint venture should meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, and the joint venture partners should have experience that is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria. The bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the total estimated cost of the works. The bidder should also undertake that their firm would invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract. The maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years is a key factor in calculating the assessed available bid capacity. The bidder should not have abandoned any work of the Government of Gujarat/Government of India/any Board or Corporation under the Government of Gujarat/Government of India, nor should any contract awarded to them for such works have been rescinded during the last five years prior to the date of the bid.
