The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed similar works during the last 5 years. The experience can be in one of the following forms: - Three completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, - Two completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost, - One completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The value and percentage of similar works completed are mentioned as 90% or more of the original contract price for substantially completed works. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed. Additionally, the bidder should have a minimum annual financial turnover in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of the contract or contracts applied for, or an Average Annual Financial Turnover during the last five years should be at least 80% of the estimated cost. The bidder needs to have completed works of a similar nature over the last five years, with a total value of at least Rs. 20 lakhs. The bidder should also have completed at least 20% of the works in the last five years, with a minimum value of Rs. 20 lakhs. The bidder should provide a certificate from the employer or engineer-in-charge for the works completed, incorporating the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, and satisfactory performance of the contractor.
