The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having work experience as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor in works of a similar nature over the last five years and in the current year before the submission of the bid. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of similar work of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five financial years. The bidder should have completed 60% of the quantity of principal items of work like concrete, earthwork, pipeline, pumping station, etc. within the last five financial years. The bidder should also have experience of having successfully completed specific types of works, such as Under Ground Drainage, Rising Main with Distribution Pipeline, SITC of Electro Mechanical of Existing UG Sump, C.C. Road with Divider, SITC of Street Lighting, and Electric, Cable & Gas Line Duct Pipeline work during the last 7 years. The experience requirements for specific types of projects are as follows: 1. Under Ground Drainage/Rising Main with Distribution Pipeline work: - Three completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost (77.74 Lakh). - Two completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost (97.17 Lakh). - One completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost (155.48 Lakh). 2. SITC of Electro Mechanical/SITC of Street Lighting/Electric, Cable & Gas Line Duct Pipeline work: - Three completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost (17.80 Lakh). - Two completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost (22.26 Lakh). - One completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost (35.61 Lakh). 3. C.C. Road with Divider work: - Three completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost (52.96 Lakh). - Two completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost (66.20 Lakh). - One completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost (105.92 Lakh). The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of a certain amount for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works in any one year, over the last five financial years. The bidder undertakes to invest 25% of the value of the work as cash during the implementation of the contract. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission.
