The bidder should have experience in similar work, with specific details required for the last five years. The required prior work experience includes work performed as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor, with execution of all main items of work described in the bid document. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature over the last five years, with a mention of the contract value (in Rs. Crore) and the stipulated period of completion. The bidder should have completed a certain percentage of similar works, but the exact percentage is not specified in some cases. However, it is mentioned that the bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years.
