The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in civil engineering constructions, specifically in government or semi-government projects. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature over the last five years. The bidder should have experience of work completion of similar work of government or semi-government in the last three years, with specific requirements as follows: - Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost. - Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost. - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works are those that are at least 90 percent completed. The bidder must provide details of the projects, including the name of the project, name of the employer, description of work, contract number, value of the contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, and actual date of completion. The bidder must also provide a certificate from the engineer-in-charge for the completed projects. The value of the works performed is required, and the bidder's available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years. The assessed available bid capacity is calculated as (A*N*2-B), where A is the maximum value of work executed, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works, of at least the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years. Mentioned values and percentages of similar works completed include: - 40% of the estimated cost for three similar completed works - 50% of the estimated cost for two similar completed works - 80% of the estimated cost for one similar completed work - 40% of the value of the proposed contract for at least one contract of highway or airport runway - 90% completion for substantially completed works.
