Material & Labour for comprehensive preventive & periodical maintenance of Olympic size Swimming Pool of approximate size 50 x 21 x 3.5 metre (average depth) and capacity approximate 3675.00 cum/ 8,09,000 gallons at INS Valsura including its allied plants, vertical cylindrical type multigrade pressure sand filter plant of capacity 200 Cum per hour, Electric control Panel Board, Alum dosing pump (venturi drive pump) of cap 0-16 LPH run to meet respective PPM as per standard Medical conditions, Suction Sweeper with Electric motor, Acid/ alkali Dosing pump (venturi drive pump) of cap 0-16 LPH run to meet respective TDS & PH level as per standard Medical condition, Horizontal split casing Pump Set with 30 HP Electric Motor - 03 Sets, Ozonator for Pool (Cap 30 lacs) disinfection by production of Ozone from atmospheric air with cap 150gm/ hr, hair Strainer (pre-filter) at suction side made of SS 304 mesh T type of cap 200cum/ hr, Trolley mounted suction sweeper with self-priming electric driven pump set with PVC braided vacuum hose pipe of length 30 mtr, 900mm size, Telescopic pole of length 4.8 mtr extendible length upto 12 mtr of aluminium tubing with 18" SS bristle angle brush & 18” nylon curved brush for cleaning purpose, all other installed accessories i.e. Sluice Valves, Pressure gauge, etc. with & including daily, weekly & half yearly periodic maintenance with ensuring circulation of Swimming Pool water through pressure filter and allied accessories to achieve desired standard of water filtration as specified below to maintain quality of water including cleaning by brooming circumstances of plant area, checking and inspecting all valves, pipe lines, operation of all machinery and plants, checking & operating of control panels, inspection of all type of filters, etc for smooth & trouble free functioning of Swimming Pool on all days including Sunday & closed holidays including deploying sufficient manpower in two shifts of 08 hours per day (First shift starts from 0600 hrs to 1400 hrs and second shift will start from 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs). Description of serial item No. 1 contd… (a) Daily Maintenance: Cleaning of Swimming Pool water by chemical treatment on regular basis or as directed to maintain required chlorine PPM. Cleaning of entire swimming Pool complex including building, pool, balancing tank, walkways, etc. Checking of all parts of the plants for its functional stability. Calibrating and dozing the plant to obtain required dosage at user's end. Maintaining record of testing/dosage/time of checking, maintenance carried out etc. Suction sweeping the bottom of the entire pool for a period of one hour or as required. Cleaning the water for bailing out the sediments. Removing all floating particles by using net. Adding requisite quantity of chemicals considering the condition of the pool. Backwashing of the filter media by operating various motors, pumps & control valves accommodated with the filtration plant adequately with trained operators to removing sludge clogged inside the filter media directly to the outside drainage without entering into the swimming pool. Operation of all machinery, plants, equipment, valves, etc for smooth functioning of Swimming Pool. (b) Weekly Maintenance: (i) Cleaning the Swimming Pool minimum once in a week or as directed. (ii) Suction sweeping of Swimming Pool with the help of suction sweeper and cleaning of side walls, bottom, channels, ladders etc. to maintain quality of water all as directed. (c) Half yearly Maintenance: (i) Pumping out water from swimming pool with the help of diesel engine driven pump and remove sludge, mud thoroughly by scraping with wire brush and broom and wash out by clean water, clean entire inner portion of swimming pool by bleaching powder and acid as required at site. (ii) Pumping out water from balancing tank and remove sludge, mud thoroughly by scraping with wire brush and broom and wash out by clean water, clean entire inner portion of balancing tank by bleaching powder and acid as required at site and applying two coats of white wash to inner surface of balancing tank of capacity of approx. 1,32,000 gallons complete all as specified and as directed. description of item contd…

Description of serial item No. 1 contd… Notes :- (i) Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining water as per standard requirement. (ii) Chemical application as per direction to maintain quality, standard water is contractor’s responsibility. However, chemical mentioned in serial item No. 2 to 6 of BOQ shall be measured & paid separately as ‘Supply only”. Labour element is included in this item. (iii) Suction sweeper machine shall be provided by the department. (iv) Pump for draining out of water shall be provided by the department. (v) Electricity shall be supplied by the MES for utility services and maintenance of installation at free of cost. (vi) Contractor shall maintain Daily Logsheet of the Plant & submit on daily basis. (vi) Contractor shall be fully responsible for maintaining quality of water and full functioning of Swimming Pool on all days, failing which a penalty at the rate of Rs. 1000/- per day shall be levied and deducted from the contractor's payment. (vii) Comprehensive /Periodic maintenance means ensuring operation & smooth functioning of Swimming Pool duly maintaining quality of water by synchronising all levels at no extra cost. (viii) All installations & surrounding area shall be kept neat and clean all the time by the contractor’s workmen and quoted rate shall deemed to include this provision. (ix) Bleaching powder, acid, wire brushes, brooms, etc required for cleaning of Pool, balancing tank, building, walkways, etc shall be provided by the contractor to workmen at his own cost. (x) Contractor shall provide all safety gears & PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to all workmen. (xi) Contractor shall strictly take all precautionary & safety measures while handling Chlorine Gas and Chloronome Plant. All safety equipment required for handling of Chloronome Plant, Chlorine Gas Container, Chlorine Gas, etc shall be the responsibility of contractor and workmen deployed by the contractor shall be fully trained for handling of the Chlorine gas equipment kept & installed at Swimming Pool.
