Landscape Maintenance

Complete day to day maintenance and up keep of Lawn area, Hedge area, Shrubs, Bamboo, Jogger track, trees in on the egges and within the area of lawn or nursery etc. in the campus. (New campus:27,108+Main Campus:35,776,Total=62,884 SQM)

Providing manpower for the works not covered in item no. 101 but can be reasonable inferred as landscape maintenance or Development related works in the campus under this contract including organic waste convertor/wormi compost, residential area works etc. kind of services. The per shift rates shall be inclusive of all statutory obligations, uniform, wages (for regular and extra duties ), PF , ESIC, BONUS, GRATUITY, EL and management fee etc. complete. (This item is for landscape maintenance works and also for development works whenever need arises in the campus). One shift will be considered as 8 hours of work. This item is for unmeasurable kind of work in residential and allied area

Unskilled labour ( TOTAL 10 WORKERS REQUIRED. 10 WORKERS X 26 SHIFTS PER WORKER PER MONTH = SHIFTS PER MONTH).

Field supervisor to supervise the unskilled labours mentioned in item no. 102.01

Loading, transporting and unloading the garden refuse, tree branches , leaves etc. waste etc. from a collection point in a hygienic manner. The tractors trolley shall be covered with while transporting the garbage. Dealing with any AMC official, their norms etc. is in contractor’s scope. The trip rates shall be inclusive of the manpower required for loading and unloading.

Within the Campus (generally for flower pots shifting during convocation and other events)

Between New campus - Main Campus (generally for flower pots shifting during convocation and other events)

From Campus to Outside AMC limit for garden and allied green waste disposal

Supply of organic composted farm yard manure at site within the campus. Measurements shall be in kg of bags.

Supply of Alluvial garden soil. Loose volume of the soil in the vehicle will be measured and paid

SHRUBBERY PLANTATION: Development of bed, plantation of shrubbery including application of FYM & termite treatment). Cost of plants, FYM, pesticide and other material not included. One month maintenance should not be charged and proper care should be taken. (Quoted Rate only)

AREA DRESSING & LEVELING : Including 3” - 9” spreading, & manual compaction as per drawing, design, specification and direction of EIC. Area to be dressed very finely and neatly using F.Y.M, soil, insecticide/pesticide mixture as directed to the perfect slope and level desired. (Minimum of 90% accuracy required). If the desired slope on compaction is not achieved party shall be liable to redo the work without any extra claims of charges. Dressing and levelling should be guaranteed for at least the period of four months from the completion of work. All the depressions occurring during the process of area cleaning, harrowing, de weeding etc. should be thoroughly filled and compacted with adequate amount of water treatment and settled. Process of watering, drying, and compaction should be repeated twice or more as required till required surface is achieved.

AREA CLEANING: Scrapping up to 4”- 6” for absolute and complete removal of vegetation, debris, weeds, garbage, and or all bio waste de gradable and unhygienic materials from the ground to be landscaped in order to make the foundation of proposed landscape healthy and strong materials should be collected and dumped within 5 Mtrs of the site for further distance.

GENERAL AREA CLEANING: Including general cleaning of site shown by Officer-in-charge within 100.00 mts. of the work area)

EXCAVATION IN ALL TYPE OF SOIL: Soil to be excavated neatly from the directed place and dumped at the nearest shown site within 5 Mtrs including hard morum, Alluvial soil, loose soil, and or any other soil up to 1.50mtr. depth.

CONTOURING: Creation of contour from supplied earth, 3" spreading of soil, 10 mtr.head load lead and manual compaction as per drawing, design, specification and direction of EIC.

CARTAGE ON HEAD : (up to30 mtr. lead) All materials to be transported by carrying on head in a tub/cement bags/ plastics/ jute cloths/ paddle cart/ hand cart etc. to the distance shown by the engineer in charge. Where and when direct use of transport such as trolley/ truck, etc. is not viable. Compacted volume to be measured and paid.

TRACTOR HIRING for CULTIVATION: Hiring of well equipped Tractor with all necessary fittings like trencher, Cultivator, jitter, claw, spade bar, surfacing blade, Oval dish Blades, Earth Cutter and complete hydraulic kit in best efficient condition etc. which ever when required. It should be all inclusive with driver with fuel etc. no extra items or charges shall be paid for what so ever. Timing calculation shall be done from starting the work to finishing the work. Transport timings shall not be calculated in the bill payment. No waiting charges shall be applicable. With cultivator pavda, driver & fuel All inclusive

LAWN PLANTATION: To be planted on soil already area dressed or contoured for which separate payment to be made respective items. Mixing of fym, termite treatment after flooding of area. Fine dressing, plantation of lawn at distance 8cm.c/c. and 3-4 cutting per one month maintenance should not be charged and two cuttings should be given during free maintenance period. Bill shall be placed after completion of maintenance period.

SHRUBBERY PLANTATION: Development of bed, plantation of shrubbery including application of FYM & termite treatment. Cost of plants, FYM, pesticide and other material not included. One month maintenance should not be charged and proper care should be taken during free maintenance period. Bill shall be placed after completion of maintenance period and after stabilizing the plants. Maximum of 5% mortality shall be tolerated. (4”- 6” of soil mount water retraining basin should be made neatly around the each plantation and maintained.)

TOP DRESSING: (Sieving of mixture of Soil & FYM, spreading of same) including 1”-3” spreading,& manual compaction as per drawing ,design, specification and direction of EIC. Area to be top dressed very finely and neatly using F.Y.M, soil, insecticide/pesticide mixture as directed to the perfect slope and level desired on existing landscape without destroying it. (minimum of 90% accuracy required). If the desired slope on compaction is not achieved party shall be liable to redo the work without any extra claims of charges. Dressing and levelling should be guaranteed for at least the period of six months from the completion of work. All the depressions occurring during the ageing of the landscape etc. should be thoroughly filled and compacted with adequate amount of water treatment and settled. Process of watering, drying, and compaction should be repeated twice or more as required till required surface of the top dressing is achieved.

INDIVIDUAL SHRUBS : (Excavation of pit 0.30mtr. X 0.30mtr. X 0.30mtr.), application of FYM, planting of plants & termite treatment).cost of plants, fym, pesticide and other material not included. Individual shrubs Plantation should be carried on neatly accurately and with perfection as per the design and drawing and instructions given by the EIC. Plastic bags or pots should be removed carefully and soil around the roots should not be dropped or disturbed much. One month maintenance should not be charged and proper care should be taken during free maintenance period. Bill shall be placed after completion of maintenance period and after stabilizing the plants. Maximum of 5% mortality shall be tolerated. 4”- 6” of soil mount (water retraining basin should be made neatly around each plantation and maintained.)

TRANSFERRING OF TREE With thin stem (Shifting & replanting): Excavation of 2 numbers of pits (one where the tree is present and second at the place of tree re plantation. (1mtr. X 1mtr. X 1mtr. radius from the centre of the main trunk of the tree) care should be taken that soil is properly held by the roots so a jute cloth to be wrapped properly and tightly with utmost precautions and transferred to a new place within the campus in contractor’s transport vehicle like tractor trolley, loading tempo, loading rickshaw etc. and manually loading and unloading with utmost care at no extra cost. Uprooting should be done with proper care using labour, simple machines like pulley etc. where and when needed within the same cost. Application of FYM, uprooting of plant, cartage to new location, termite treatment and planting) Cost of plants, fym, pesticide not included. 4”- 6” of soil mount (water retraining basin should be made neatly around the entire plantation and maintained.)
