Expression of Interest: Consultant for South tarawa water supply project The project management unit (pmu) will be the core unit responsible for the overall management of south tarawa water supply project (stwsp) including day-to-day project related activities, compliance with provisions of all grant agreements, government policies and guidelines, project administration, preparations of grant withdrawal applications and maintenance of records. The implementing agency for stwsp is the ministry of infrastructure and sustainable energy (mise). The pmu is expected to include the project manager (pm), deputy project manager/procurement specialist (dpm), project accountant, safeguards manager, and social development and gender specialist (sdgs). The project director (director of engineering services, mise) and pmu will supervise and provide counterpart support services to project implementation assistance and (for a limited period to project design advance (pda) consultant firm). The pmu sdgs will oversee implementation of stwsp gender action plan (gap) including monitoring of gap progress. Scope of Work: The pmu social development and gender specialist will work closely with pda (for a limited period) and project implementation assistance (pia) consultant teams including the gender specialist. The sdgs will also be required to work with contractor and selected civil society organizations (cso) to implement wash awareness program (wap) part b – community partnerships.
