PROVIDING NEW KERBING AND BUND WALL HEIGHTS INCREASE INSIDE UNITS AT QatarEnergy REFINERY, MESAIEED-QP Refinery Insurance Assessor made risk observations / safety recommendations to QP with regard to containment of Pool Fires in susceptible fire zones & existing bund wall heights. Hence, QP Refinery initiated a study (LC17106700) to review the kerbing / drainage requirements in fire susceptible zones and to recommend new kerbing / drainage system wherever required. Also, existing bunds around Tanks were identified which donot comply with Refinery design criteria. This project is being carried out to implement the recommendations of study LC17106700. Objective of this Contract is to design, procure, install and construct new kerbing with associated drainage system at QP Refinery in accordance with the Scope of Work, Drawings and Specifications. The main activities include (but not limited to): New Kerbing with Drainage system ",,Design of new kerbing / grade slab / sump / manhole / drainage system. ",,Underground Scanning. PROVISION OF SERVICES FOR REAL-TIME DRILLING OPTIMIZATION-Contractor shall perform Services for real-time drilling monitoring and optimization for QP's onshore and offshore operations, on a Call-off basis. EPIC FOR REPLACEMENT OF REFINERY PIPELINE CULVERTS IN MIC-The scope of Work for the EPIC Works is as summarized below: 1.,,EPIC of New Culverts EPIC of eight (08) new RCC culverts to replace the existing culverts which are in a poor state of repair shall be provided according to the changed site & loading conditions, applicable local and international codes/ standards and QP/ Shell DEPs. Topographic and geotechnical investigation will be required at these locations. Alignment of culverts will remain the same. Particular attention shall be given in the design and construction to prevent ground water ingress into the culverts. 2.,,Protection of existing pipelines inside Culverts. As the pipe lines services cannot be disrupted, the existing pipelines shall be properly protected/ secured prior to and during the demolition of existing culverts and construction of new culverts. 3.,,Demolition of Existing Culverts & Asphalt Road Overlay The culverts are located under busy MIC roads, hence the re-construction of these culverts should be carried out in phases with close coordination with MIC to ensure continuous traffic flow with minimum disruptions. Demolition of existing shall be undertaken to ensure no loss of service of any pipelines and be undertaken in line with highest health and safety standards. The reconstruction of culverts shall require construction of temporary roads for traffic diversions, open cutting of existing asphalt roads, and demolition of existing culverts. Traffic management including all safety barriers and warnings shall be provided during the demolition and re-construction culverts. 4.,,New Culverts Construction The construction of eight (08) new culverts shall comply with the current standards / codes, changed site conditions and QP safety requirements. Dewatering works will also be involved throughout the demolition and construction. Construction on new culverts shall be undertaken to ensure no loss of service of any pipelines and be undertaken in line with highest health and safety standards. 5.,,Reinstatement of Asphalt Road Overlay Reinstatement of asphalt road to be done as per MIC specifications and referenced standards.
