CHAPTER 23 ROAD & PLATFORM WORKS

Extra to item no.NS-1 for cutting & levelling formation of new bank surface beyond 15 cm from the 2 original ground level up to required level to the entire satisfaction of Engineer in charge including removing of vegetation etc before spreading the ballast to ensure required cushion, grade, filling & dressing the surplus earth in slope/low level area of bank as decided by the Engineer in charge including free lead up to 500 mtr.

Preparation of Ballast bed on new formation including rolling of Ballast carpet up to 150 mm to 3 200mm thickness (maximum) upto required width/profile as per direction of engineer incharge on new bank with contractors own about 5 tonnes capacity self propelled vibratory roller, tools and plants, equipment, consumable, labours etc. including all lead, lift as a complete job. Note :- The payment for putting ballast for preparation of ballast Bed shall be paid separately through relevant NS item.

Assembling, linking and laying of BG PRC fan shaped points and crossing (Turn outs 52 kg / 60 kg New / SS rails) , trap, Diamond crossing and Scissor crossover with New/ SS rails on PRC sleepers as per 4 approved IRS drawings in other than running track conditions as per direction of Engineer and in accordance with the provisions contained in the special tender conditions, ensuring correct spacing, including cutting and straightening of rails, drilling of holes for fish plated joints , fixing distance blocks & stretcher bars , fixing of check rails etc with all standard fitting and fastenings, including squaring of sleepers in points & crossing assembly, gauge, alignment, longitudinal and cross level etc complete, including greasing, oiling of fish plates, fish bolts and nuts , MCI inserts, Gauge face of lead Rails, Stock Rails, Tounge Rails. (K.oil, black oil, Grease etc. is to be arranged by contractor at his own cost), providing spherical washers and provision of correct expansion gaps according to standard temperature prevailing at the time of linking including free lead upto 500 meter for all PRC sleepers, switches , crossing , lead rail, leading of all P. way fittings from site store of the SSE/P.Way at respective station or lying in the Section, with all lead , lift, ascent, descent or any other obstruction , handling , re - handling , crossing of line etc , in station yard on new / existing formation as required including dressing and rolling of previously laid track ballast of required cushion , katcha packing & required grading with ballast to bring track to fairly good geometry and final tolerance as per special tender conditions and specifications in non-running track. . The item includes fixing of hand lever for movement of switches and movement from signal point of view and setting properly where it is required. Machinery work for cutting of stud bolts / stretcher bar bolt up to required depth for proper opening and housing of points and crossing. Bolts will be supplied free of cost from the store of SSE/C/P- Way at site, etc including all labour and mat erials as a complete job. Leading of P way Materials beyond 500 M shall be paid separately under relevant NS item. NOTE: Necessary S&T fitness have to be made with the S&T department and provide necessary assistance to S&T department. Assembling, linking and laying of BG PRC fan shaped points and crossing ( Turn outs 52 kg / 60 kg / 90 R New / SS rails ) , traps, Diamond crossing and Scissor crossover with New/ SS on PRC sleepers as per approved IRS drawings in running track conditions including working in traffic block during night time, as per direction of Engineer Incharge and in accordance with the provisions contained in the special tender conditions, ensuring correct spacing, including cutting and straightening of rails, drilling of holes for fish plated joints , fixing distance blocks & stretcher bars , fixing of check rails etc with all standard fitting and fastenings, The item includes the marking sleeper spacing on rail gauge face with approved quality paint/colour /stencil as directed by Engineer in charge and including squaring of sleepers in points & crossing assembling , gauge, alignment, longitudinal and cross level etc complete, including greasing & Oiling of fish plates, fish bolts and nuts etc. (K.oil, black oil Grease etc. is to be arranged by contractor at his own cost). Providing spherical washers and correct bend to the stock rail, provision of correct expansion gaps according to standard temperature prevailing at the time of linking including free lead upto 500 M for all PRC sleepers, switches , crossing , lead rail, leading of all P. way fittings from site store of the SSE/P.Way at respective station or lying in section, with all lead , lift, ascent, descent or any other 7 obstruction , handling , re - handling , crossing of line etc , in station yard on existing formation as required including dressing and rolling of previously laid track ballast of required cushion , katcha packing & required grading with ballast to bring track to fairly good geometry and final tolerance as per special tender conditions and specifications . Machinery work for cutting of stud bolts / stretcher bar bolt up to required depth for proper opening and housing of points and crossing. Bolts will be supplied free of cost from the store of SSE/C/P- Way at site, etc including all labour and materials as a complete job. Leading of P way Materials beyond 500 M shall be paid separately under relevant NS item. NOTE: Necessary S&T fitness have to be made with the S&T department and provide necessary assistance to S&T department. Note :- A) The work of assembling , linking shall be done during pre non interlocking period and assembled turnout to be inserted i.e. (switch & crossing lead rail ) during specified traffic block period only in case of existing running lines. The rate also includes longitudinal pull of assembling turnouts upto 50 mtr and side pull- involving crossing of running track for about approx. 5 m or as per space available at site .The rate against NS item shall deem to be inclusive of above elements. B) 25 % payment will be made after linking and joint S&T fitness of switch on cess during before Pre interlocking periods. C) 25 % payment will be made after insertion Lead portion turnout sleepers at required location D ) and balance 50% payment will be made after completion of all activities as a complete jobs. Points & crossings 1in 12 BG turn out (on PSC fan shaped lay out) 60 kg/ 52 kg

Fabrication, erection and fixing in position of buffer dead end as per approved Rly. plan for BG track of 60 Kg / 52 kg / 90R rails (SS / US rails including cutting, bending, drilling of holes in rails, fixing buffer beams iron plates/ Sal timber ( New / SS), bolts and nuts etc. as directed by the Engineer including leading all P. way 8 materials from nearest SE / C / P. way store at station to the site including free lead of 500 M, all lift, ascent, descent or any other obstructions, handling, rehandling, crossing of track etc. in station yard as per special conditions and standard specifications as a complete job with all labour (Transportation rail, fish plates, fish bolts & nuts, sleepers etc. will be arranged by the contractor & will be paid under relevant item of this tender schedule). All rail sections of Dead End shall be painted with black paint and crossing members of Buffer beam shall be painted with red luminous paint of approved quality. All paints will be arranged by contractor at his own cost.

Handling, lifting, loading, leading, unloading and spreading of 65mm gauge machine crushed hard stone ballast from the existing stacks lying along the cess/formation within railway boundary/other land and putting the same on new bank manually, donkey labour or by tractor / truck or any other means in straight /curved / point 9 and crossing etc. Rate will include all lead, lift, ascent, descent, handling, re handling, crossing of running track (safely), nallah, streams or any other obstruction coming while working including all other charges i.e. taxes, royalties, octroi etc, making approach road wherever required for leading of ballast on new bank with contractors own tools labour etc. complete as directed by the Engineer in charge. The ballast shall be spread initially in a layer of 150 to 200mm thickness or as directed by Site Engineer, for linking of track and further ballast shall be spread after linking of track to make proper ballast profile as per ballast profile shown in IRPWM (with all correction slip) for single line BG LWR track on PRC sleepers with contractor's own tools & labour as a complete job. Note: - (i) During lifting operation of ballast complete stack, will be cleared. (ii) The payment shall be made for the actual quantity of ballast measured in the stacks. load 0 to 200 m

Drilling holes of 32 mm/28mm/26.5mm dia or as directed by engineer in charge including 21 chamfering in 60 Kg / 52 kg / 90R New / SS rail including arrangements of all tools and plants, consumable material etc. at contractor's own cost including lead, lifts, placing, handling, re-handling of rails as required or as directed by the Engineer in charge at site as a complete job with all labour & material and T&P involved.

Cutting of all types of rails section New / SS on running / non running lines with hacksaw blade for vertical, square and smooth face for linking of track as directed by the Engineer-in-charge as a complete job ( all 22 the T&P / consumable material required for cutting of rails will be arranged by the contractor at his own cost) including handling / rehandling of rails. The rails shall be taken from available stacks anywhere in station yards and in block sections and will be cut in standard length / pairing as specified by the Engineer at site. Rail cut pieces will be deposited in the SSE / C /P.Way store at site store and properly stacked (except turnout portion).

"Manufacturing and fixing rail posts or any other type of posts on bank or side slopes with CC 23 foundation, if required, as per drawing and mark over these posts correct rail level/ alignment at locations as directed by Engineer -incharge including cost of painting with paint of approved shade & quality with all labour and material except rails which will be supplied free of cost at the store of SSE / C /P.Way at site store or in block section or at any other location. Note: The rate will include leading of posts to the site and cutting, if required. "

Provision of insulation joints / RDSO joints at specified locations in existing/ running track with fish plate 60 kg / 52 kg / 90R and fish bolts required for the work, including cutting of rail if required, drilling and 24 widening of hole during running traffic condition, skimming of fish plate done by contractor as per the direction of the Engineer in charge, with all T&P and C&P item and labour as a complete job. The item of fish plate & bolts, and other insulation material required for the work will be supplied by railway free of cost at SSE/C/P Way store however leading of the same has been included in the item and nothing extra will be paid for this.

Providing and fixing of glued joint in existing/ running track 60 Kg / 52Kg / 90 R including free lead 25 up to 200 metre for glued joints and released Rails within station limits , Glued joint and related fittings will be provided by railway at SSE/C/P.Way store. The released materials shall be deposited in the store of SSE/C/P.Way . The rate shall include complete fixing of track fitting and katcha packing, if required, free of cost as a complete job. Note:- The cutting of rails & drilling hole in to the rail shall be paid separately under relevant NS item.

Manufacturing & fixing of fouling mark of size 1500x250x125mm as per IRPWM with latest correction 28 29 30 31 slips, , gradient post of size 1210x381x65mm (Drawing No.NRHQE-629), Km post of size 1400x500x65mm (Drawing No.NRHQE-4449) CC/RCC post and latest drawings of N RLY HQ. at nominated place 26 in station yard./ section, All consumable material will be arranged by the contractor including fixing, painting, letter writing as per specifications and guidelines as per latest CE circulars with correction slips with all lead, lift,. The rates includes the cost of course aggregate 20mm,10mm and fine aggregates sand, shuttering, ,curing, approved quality paints , labour, materials etc and T&P, ascent, descent for complete job. Note:-Cement required for casting shall be paid separately under relevant USOR items.. Per Track

Supplying & Applying Graphited grease grade "O" conforming to IS: 408 on leg of ERC and inner 28 surface of MCI insert. MCI inserts should be cleaned properly before applying grease. This item is including cost of grease, labour and other consumable material as required as per direction of Engineer in charge (This item will be operated along with the NS item of distressing of track or wherever required as directed by Engineer in Charge .)

Painting of one coat of anti corrosive black bituminous paint on ERC new/ old with approved quality29 of paint, prior to applying the paint over ERC, proper cleaning of any dust/ rust etc with wire brush/sand paper and brushing for good quality of work and washing of pandrol clips by K. Oil by keeping them dipped in k. Oil for at least 12 hour, drying them and then dipping for short period in bituminous paint of ISI approved mark as per instructions of the Engineer in charge including the cost of all material, labour and T&P as a complete job. Replacement of existing wooden /ST/CST-9/PRC sleeper with new PRC sleepers with M+7or any other sleeper density as directed by Engineer in charge under running/non running traffic condition with deep screening of existing stone ballast upto the full width of ballast section up to required level and putting back the screened ballast including recoupment of short ballast from stack and will be paid under relevant NS item in existing BG track, point & Xing, SEJ including lifting and providing 350/300/250mm clean ballast cushion below sleeper with katcha packing, removing grass, vegetation handling, rehandling and disposal of released muck up to full width of formation as per direction of Engineer in charge at site under running/non running traffic conditions in 31 existing track including all standard fitting/ fastening squaring of sleepers ensuring correct spacing, gauging, alignment longitudinal and cross levels providing superelevation on curve etc. complete in all respect including unloading, handling, rehandling leading manually or by dip lories or by road transport of all P. way fittings, and fastening required at site of work from site store of SSE/C/P Way at contractor own cost and including leading loading handling and rehandling of PRC sleepers free lead up to 500 M from stacking point to site of work within yard limits, required for linking new track as well as released items from track will be deposited by the contractor to SSE/C/P.Way st ore All released material will be stacked properly in the SSE/C/P.Way store or as directed by engineer in charge free of cost .Note :-The payment of Deep Screening will be done separately through relevant NS Item

Dismantling foundation of CC/ RCC/Brick work/Stone Work/hard Rocks/etc in any where in yard/ 32 block section up to required level for all heights and all depths with mechanical means/ manual means including all T&P machinery etc. All lead, lifts, rehandling crossing nallah track etc. all ascends, descends and other observations whatsoever, including disposal of dismantled material (debris) outside the railway land including all labour and material as a complete job . All the released materials will be property of the contractor.

unloading and stacking of rails 1/3/10/20 rail panels from full / part rake of BFR / BRN immediately 33 on arrival / placing of rake in siding/ loop line/ main line during free time/ block time and stacking the same up to 50 mtr from track stacking will be done in straight position and in countable position as a complete job. Note: 20 rail panels are to be made in upright condition and .nothing extra will be paid for this.

Manufacturing &Supplying of caution indicator boards in size 1400 mm x 400 mm. of 2 mm. thick Aluminium alloy sheet conforming to IS: 736 in size and shape etc. As per Anx. 8/4 of para 807 & 808 of IRPW manual 2004 with back support of MS Angle 25 x 25 x 3 mm . The entire face of sign board shall be covered with yellow high intensity encapsulated type retro reflective sheeting with heat lamp vacuum Machine. The black portion 34 for board shall be provided with scotched film on high intensity sheet with all labour, materials, taxes, octroi, leading , loading, unloading and including stainless steel Bolts & Nuts and fixing of boards with the help of angle iron post of size 75X75x6mm and of height (Average - 4.50 Mtr ) ,so that the bottom of boards are at 2.10m above rail level after fixing in ground as per Rly specifications. The rates includes the cost of all types angles , nuts, bolts, rivets, washers etc as required with all contractor's labour lead and lift etc complete ,as per instructions of Engineer or his authorized representative complete job.

X 25 mm. x 3 mm. MS angle iron The entire face of the sign board shall be covered with yellow high intensity encapsulated retro reflective sheeting with heat lamp vaccum applicator process and including stainless steel Bolts & Nuts. and fixing of boards with the help of angle iron post of size 75X75x6mm and of height (Average - 4.50 Mtr ), so that the bottom of boards are at 2.10m above rail level after fixing in ground as per Rly specifications. The rates includes the cost of all types angles , nuts, bolts, rivets, washers etc as required with all contractor's labour lead and lift etc complete ,as per instructions of Engineer or his authorized representative comlete job.

The 36 speed figures shall be out of black scatched film and provided on the base sheet with HLVA process including all leading, loading, Taxes, octroi Labour and materials and including stainless steel Bolts & Nuts. etc. complete job. and fixing of boards with the help of angle iron post of size 75X75x6mm and of height (Average - 4.50 Mtr ) ,so that the bottom of boards are at 2.10m above rail level after fixing in ground as per Rly specifications. Aluminium sheet conforming to IS: 736 in size 600 x 600 mm. in size each board shall have back support of angle iron of 25x25x3 mm. with stainless steel bolt and nuts. The entire face of each board shall be covered with high intensity encapsulated retro reflective sheet with heat lamp vaccum machine. The W/L & CEE/FAA boards shall be 39 cut out of scotched film and provided on base sheet with HLVA process including all leading, loading, unloading, Taxes Octrol, Labour & material etc. complete job and fixing of boards with the help of angle iron post of size 75X75x6mm and of height (Average - 4.50 Mtr ) ,so that the bottom of boards are at 2.10m above rail level after fixing in ground as per Rly specifications. The rates includes the cost of all types angles , nuts, bolts, rivets, washers etc as required with all contractor's labour lead and lift etc complete ,as per instructions of Engineer or his authorized representative. W/L board

CEE / FAA Board (Note:- Excluding the cost of vertical iron post of size 75x75x6mm MS angle.)

Fixing of temporary SR board at required locations as per direction of Engineer in charge including 41 the cost of digging the pit up to required depth. The rates includes all ,T&Pand labours etc. The temporary restriction board /other type boards will be supplied by the railway free of cost from the store of SSE/C/PWAY store.

Removing and depositing of temporary SR board or any type Boards from site as per direction of Engineer in charge with all, T& P and labour etc. complete job. The temporary released boards will be depositing in the store of the SSE/C /P.Way or lying in the section.

Replacement of existing metal liner with GFN liner 60 kg / 52 kg / 90R including work out of existing 43 51 52 53 54 ERC/liners and cleaning the rust on the foot surface of rail by K. oil, including the cost of labour, K.oil, cotton waste etc. as required. Greasing of pandrol clip will be done during the replacement of liners and will be paid under relevant N.S. items. Similarly for jammed pandrol clips, liner will be supplied by the Railway free of cost from the store of SSE/C/P.Way or at his nearest store.

Laying Switch expansion joints (SEJ) of 52Kg/60Kg Rail, in running track on special PSC sleepers as per RDSO drawing No. T-4165/4160/5478/5586/5748 or any other latest approved drawing at the required locations with contractors labours and tools inclusive of all charge with free lead upto 200m and all lifts. The items mainly includes laying SEJ, Rails to correct spacing over compacted ballast bed, laying of stock rail and tongue rail 44 (two pairs) providing the fittings and fastening, fixing two angle spacers bringing it to desired level and longitudinal profile correcting, gauge, cross level, spacing and squaring of sleeper and packing dressing the ballast oiling greasing the longer rails and stock rails etc. or any other item required as per directive of Engineer at site. Payment for Cutting of rails and drilling of holes for advance peparation for laying of SEJ will be made under relevant NS items.

Fixing of Joggled fish plate with bolt/clamp on untested and defective rail weld joints in running/non 45 running line with fixing of wooden block by removing existing track ballast and again in putting and packing the wooden bl oc k . (Payment for Drilling of hole in rail will be paid under relevant NS items) including all labour and material except joggled fish plate, nuts and bolts/ joggled clamp which will be supplied by Railway at SSE/C/P.Way store.

Removal of Joggled fish plate & wooden block from good weld joints on running / non running lines and depositing the same in store of SSE/C/P.Way at site store

Removal of jammed pandrol clips from running track. During process to work out the pandrol clips, 52 PRC sleeper should not be damaged and further ERC has to be fixed if required. These rates are including labour and material .Work has to be done in the running track and safety precautions has to be taken by the contractor. All P.Way material have to be issued / deposited from the Store of SSE/C/P.Way at site store and also to be returned the released material in the same store as per direction of site in-charge.

Miscellaneous P.Way work on existing Fan/Shaped T/out during S&T point machine fixing including 53 all labours T&P etc. as required during the work. If any cutting of rail, drilling holes in rails is required, the same will be paid under relevant NS item. Contractor has to deploy sufficient number of men as per S&T requirement or as per direction of Engineer-in-charge as a complete job

Unloading of ballast from DMT including boxing of unloaded ballast at the site of work, including 54 releasing of BFR controlling and regulating the ballast flow to ensure uniform distribution and prevent jamming excess flow etc in the nominated block section under traffic block. During unloading of ballast DMT, infringement to any train movement has to be cleared by contractor if any occurred as a complete job and nothing extra will be paid for this.

Painting of one coat of anti corrosive black bituminous paint on metal liner new/old with approved quality of paint,before applying the paint cleaning of any dust/rust etc is to be done with wire brush/sand paper and brushing for good quality of work and washing of metal liner by K. Oil by keeping them dipped in k. Oil for at least 12 hour, drying them and then dipping for short period in bituminous paint properly or as required at site for good quality of work as per instructions of the Engineer in charge including the cost of all material labour and T&P as a complete job. Metal liner will be supplied by the railway at SSE/C/P-way store.

Vertically cutting of rail (existing track) 60Kg/52 Kg/90R/75R rails by gas cutting process during block in situ/ on cess with contractors labour material & T&P etc as a complete job.

Cutting of released/scrap rails by gas cutting process including stacking to facilitate the stacking and disposal, with contractors labour material & T&P etc as a complete job.

Removal of debris / malba / surplus earth including stacked earth and other misc. materials such as Kankar, sand, ashes, stone, chips, bats etc. along with Railway track in yards including all lifting, loading, 59 unloading, leading and disposing off the same outside railway boundary / premises. It includes head all leads /lifts etc. . In case the debris/ surplus earth etc are required by the Railways in the yard for to be filled in low lying area, then the same will required to be lead to the site of work including spreading and dressing etc as directed by the site engineer irrespective of any lead with in yards and nothing extra will be paid or recovered on this account. "

Equalization of unloaded ballast from DMT by shifting from shoulder to haunches for making track ready for M/C packing. with contractor's labours and T&P etc as a complete jobs. Per Track

Manufacturing and fixing of guard rail of all rail section on bridges.

Deduct Rate for loading of PSC line sleepers/wider sleepers, guard rail sleepers etc at manufacturing plant/work shops on truck/trailer if not done by leading contractor at loading point against relevant NS item. Per Track

Making Arrangement for running and maintenance of push trolley / Light weight motor trolley on new /block for complete currency of the contract including provision 04 number of unskilled person , trolley man carve out ,complete repair and upkeep of push trolley / Light weight motor trolley including oil consumption & spare parts and keeping it fit for its intended use . Placing the push trolley on track, pushing it, taking the safety precautions while pushing, taking off from track, keeping it at the safe place when not in use, maintaining push trolley in safe conditions etc. as per the directives of trolley holder i.e. JE/SSE/C/P.way/ Works/AXEN/XEN. The item includes all man, machinery, tools and plants as a complete job.

Fabrication assembly in-situ G-3/L type glued insulated joints for broad guage 60 kg with all contractor's material, to and from transportation of material, octroi etc. complete as per RDSO/Drg. No. T-671/T- 2572 and confirming to the specification as per instructions contained in manual for glued insulated rail joints. This item is inclusive of all fittings and accessories such as :- a. Long fish plates, b. H.T.S bolts and nuts, c. Punch washers, d. Insulated bushes , e. Insulated channels, f. 6mm thick end post , g. Glue, h. Hardner i. Glass cloth 66 carrier and all the materials and fittings for cleaning and assembling excluding rails j. Any other fitting and accessories required to fabricate "In situ Glued Joint" in all respect as per RDSO/Drg. No. T-671/T-2572 and specifications contained in manual for in situ glued joints. Note:- i) In - Situ glued joints shall be checked for insulation as per Railways satisfaction. The glued joint should behave satisfactorily minimum up to 6 months from the date of laying. In case of any defects detected in this period, the glued joints shall have to be replaced. Security money shall only be released after certification from site In- charge regarding satisfactory behavior of all glued joints minimum up to six months from the date of laying.

Providing 3 no PSC sleeper on trolleys refugees etc as a complete job including whitewashing, dressing of slopes including all T & P and labour as a complete item rate to the satisfaction of Engineer - in - charge. Note: Leading of PRC sleepers beyond 200 M free lead shall be paid separately under relevant NS item.

Supply of labor for shifting of Junction Boxes and S&T/OFC/Telecom cables passing in alignment of 68 proposed track infringing excavation work of formation, lowering/shifting the cables as to carry out earth work in formation/excavation of bridge etc or any other misc. work not included in contract agreement as per instruction of engineering-charge as a complete job. Nothing shall be paid extra on any account

Pre Measurement of Tamping With total station & prism Gedo trolley measure and store Gauge, cross elevation, chainage, shift and lift value at every 3 m i.e. every 5th sleeper interval along the track center line and coordinates of track center line at every 3m to be submitted with track geometry . (per km/ Round)

Design Alignment Construct Target/Design alignment with the good points of existing pre 71 measurement profile in design software. To export data in ALC format with design alignment or measured reading in M/c and to provide track adjustment file with Ver extension and also to provide Geo Geometry file to provide text file and slew, uplift and gauge at every 3 m i.e. every 5th sleeper interval for tamping machine operator reference during reference.

Post Tamping Measurement With total station & prism Gedo trolley measure and store Guage, cross elevation, Chainage, shift and lift value at every 3 m i.e. every 5th sleeper interval along the track centre line at every 3 m to be submitted (per km/round

Reporting Report & Plotting Soft and hard copies of slew & uplift report at every 3 m i.e. every 5th sleeper interval compared with design Vs Pre profile Report of off set distance from track center to OHE, neighboring track center & platform point.

Complete item rate for manufacturing, supplying and fixing of retro reflective signage as per drawing of IRPWM given by Executive Engineer to be made out of 2 mm thick aluminum sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated lens type heat activated retro reflective sheeting with text massage to be written in similar sheeting, clour scheme as approved by the site incharge, conforming to type-IV of ASTM D-4956- 04, including subject matter, symbols etc. complete pasted on substrate by suitable adhesive backing, which shall 74 be activated by applying heat and pressure, conforming to Class-II of ASRM-D-4956-04 and fixing the same with aluminium alloy reivets and fixed on support frame made of MS angle iron 35x35x5mm along the bordors & cross angles (RDSO specifications attached). Concerete & vertical mast angle shall be paid seprately under relevent USSOR items. Providing and fixing safety fencing 50 mm to 100 mm dia wooden ballies 1.8m long at a distance of 3.0 M. c/c interconnected by 14 mm dia nylon rope of approved quality in two layers as permanent barricading 76 including painting of 2 band (Red & White) 300 mm long from top of ballies by approved quality pint of two coats including priming all leading, loading, unloading etc. or as directed by Engineering-in-charge for safe working near Railway running track for safety purpose (Casting cement concrete shall be paid separately under relevant NS/SOR tem) Note : After completion of work the released material will be the property of contractor.

Fabrication, Erection and fixing in position and commissioning of lifting barriers on 7.5m to 8.5 m wide road non interlocked including spares parts for which beam including tubular boom with fringe, auxiliary 77 weight gate indicator lamps, stop post, brackets, drum bell, bearings, balance weight pedestal indication disc. pully and wires guy arms etc. and all other necessary components as shown in drawings of lifting barrier RDSO Drg no. SA - 7976 as a complete job. (One set will consist of 2 lifting barrier. One on either side of track). This will includes locking of boom with the held of lever operation.

Manufacturing and supplying leading and fixing in position and commissioning of winch for lifting, 78 barrier including with post pinion locking wheel gear axel protection cover collar pinion axle gate lock key etc. and other necessary component as shown in drawings of winch for lifting barrier RDSO Drg. no. SA-8132 as a complete job. This will include loading, unloading and leading of all materials to be site of work including black painting wherever required. Nothing extra shall be paid other than accepted rate.

Manufacturing and fixing check rails of all rail sections on level crossings and curves etc. on PRC sleepers/wooden sleepers/metal sleepers for BG track with all requisite standard fittings including blocks, bolts, 79 fastenings including 200 m free lead with all lifts, ascents, descents, crossing of track etc. from either side of embankment as per site requirement & as per direction of engineer in charge as per standard specifications and drawings issued by Railways. Note: Drilling of holes will be paid under relevant NS item of this schedule and both side check rails will be measured separately for payments.

Dismantling of pucca road with all specifications including soling/wearing coat, premixing/shelcrete 80 surfacing etc. along with preparing formation for linking of track, cutting, trenching as required including disposal of dismantled material outside of Railway boundary. The work will be executed during clear road traffic period with minimum disturbance to the road traffic as per directions of site engineer as a complete job. "

Item Rate for P&F prefab Porta Cabin of desired size of standard height as per order of Site 81 Engineer with fully insulated wall & roof panels as per specification given below with flush door , powder coated aluminium windows (Bombay sliding ) wherever required and A.C.opening,ventilator including all material required for fabrication of Porta Cabin including providing electrical points 5 Amp: /15 Amp:and florescent tube wiring etc.complete as per full satishfaction of site incharge .The rate includes cost of truss as required at site including all lead,lifting at any height,loading,unloading,all taxes,charges,all L&M,T&P as a complete job. Nothing extra shall be paid whatsoever the case may be. Mode of payment:-The measurement shall be taken as per plinth area bases. Specification:- 1. Roof & Wall:- 75mm thick sandwitch panel expanded polystyrene core having bulk density of 18 kg/cum or more insulation materials in accordance with IS:4671/1984 Type I and 0.63mm thick GI sheet both side powder coated .The G.I. sheet shall confirm to galvanizing coating of 80 gms.The panel should be with interlocking method.The lower portion of the panel forms the ceiling of cabin and top will be trapezodial section of GI powder coated sheet in proper slope ,hence no seperate false ceiling is required. The roof single/ double slope should be 100% leak proof. 2. FlOOR: - Modular floor made out of grid mounted floor platform of M.S hollow rectangular tube section of size 50x25mm or 35x35mm conforming to IS:4929-1979.The frame work should have a grid size of 600x600mm above grid BWO marine grade ply board (as per IS: 303- 1989) or cement fibre board ( as per IS: 14276- 1995) of 16mm is screwed with self tapping Hilt screws.The entire structure is raised above ground by 150 to 200mm (6" to 8" ) or more using ISMB or ISMC steel supports or Alternate (Pucca Cement Platform) Cement concrete platform ( Pucca floor) made out of standard Civil procedure ( 1:2:4) cement,coarse sand and 20mm aggregate can also be provided to support wall panels using 'C' and 'Z' G.I. channels.The platform can be raised to desire height from (GL) ground level or (RL) road level . 3. Painting of rails outside / inside of any section the track / on cess / block section for using two coats with anti-corrosive bituminous black paint conforming to IS:9862-1981 to a thickness of 100 for each coat(as per ACS No. 124 to IRPWM & CE circular No. 258 (P.Way) dated March' 2006) The painting will be done after 82 removing the rust & dust and loosening the scales by brushing / scraping etc. All the application will be done in uniform brushing. The work shall be complete in all respects with all labour & material misc and incidental works related to the job as per direction of engineer in charge at site to his entire satisfaction.. Note-1. Measuring equipment (digital ) will be provided by contractor in own cost. 2.Contractor will submit the test report of paint from approved Lab is own cost.

Keeping watch and ward of newly linked tracks/turn outs/Traps etc round the clock by deputing adequate number of care takers. Watch and ward will only be paid after issuance of completion certificate of the work by the competent authority and up to CRS inspection & opening of new line till running of regular trains. It will be the responsibility of contractor to ensure that the fitting and fastening remain intact till the handing over the new 83 track to open line. (Qty. Detail = 37500 metre x 3.50 months = 131250 metre month) Note-: 1.Any shortage of any track material/fittings will be recovered from the contractor. 2.For part of the month, the payment shall be made on pro-rata basis considering a month of 30 days. 3.No extra payment shall be made for the loop lines, turnouts, traps etc. 4.The measurement shall be made in length from starting location of newly linked tracks /turn outs to last location of tracks/turnouts. 5.The contractor have to engage/depute at least 02 to 03 persons/caretaker round the clock for Keeping watch and ward for each 03 km Length.

CHAPTER 21 (BRIDGE WORKS- SUPER STRUCTURE STEEL"

Manufacturing and supplying of elastomeric rubber pad and grooved rubber pad (minimum 25mm 1 thick), elastomeric neoprene pads and grooved pads as per Drawing No.RDSO/B-1636/II(R2) with contractor tools, labours, taxes, levies etc. complete. The material should be form the RDSO approved supplier. The item shall be complete in all respects. The work shall be carried out as per directives of Engineer in charge at site to his entire satisfaction. Nothing extra will be paid. (UNIT - SET PER SLEEPER)

Welding of 60kg 90 UTS Rail joints by AT Welding (SKV Process) in situ with compressed Air petrol Pre-heating 3 piece pre-fabricated mould (ZIRCON-WASHED) manually pressed, single shot crucible fitted with Auto tapping Thimble in non-running and running track during traffic block for converting single rails/short welded 1 panel/long welded panel in to SWR/LWR/CWR including finishing of welded joints to post welding tolerances with contractor's own RDSO approved welding portion, pre-fabricated moulds, tools consumables, supervision etc. as per RDSO approved technique in accordance with the provisions contained in latest updated manual and all correction slips with all lead, lifts, taxes, levies by central/state govt., local authority. Payment Schedule:- 1. 80% payment shall be made on welding, 2. 10% payment shall be released on grinding, 3. 5% payment shall be released on painting and numbering of welding joints. 4. 5% payment shall be released on USFD testing of joints.

Loading, leading, unloading and stacking of P.Way material New/ SH/ released such as - ,Rails, all types of PSC/PRC sleepers (except line sleepers), wooden sleepers,ST sleepers,C I. sleepers ,any other type sleepers, SEJ, glued joint or any other type of P.Way materials except PSC line sleepers 52Kg/60Kg,and level X- ing/guard rail sleepers with all lead, lift ascent,descent, crossing of nallah, Railway track, L-crossings or any other obstruction whatsoever along the proposed bank, keeping in view of safety of track as per direction of site Engineer & guidelines as per Special conditions of contract. Weighing will be done in presence of railway 1 representative and authorized representative of contractor from nearest Dharam kanta to certify the load / weight at loading point and unloading point as per requirement from any place to any place by shortest possible workable route. (Payment may be done for new materials as per standard weight)The rate also includes loading, unloading, stacking of material in measuring and countable position as required by Engineer in charge. "The lead shall be measured along the shortest possible route to be decided by the Engineer in charge." Note: 1. Re transportation of materials if required from level crossing /yard as per site conditions and as per direction of Engineer in Charge and up to site of work will be paid separately in this items 2. Leading of PSC line sleepers 52Kg/60Kg,and level X- ing/guard rail sleepers will be paid under relevant NS Item. (Above 500 M from point of lead and lead up to 1 Km)
