The required prior work experience for the bidder is related to the "bid capacity" which is calculated based on the maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year. For the bidder to be eligible, they must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 (seven) years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, or (iii) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The required prior work experience for the bidder can be proven through work experience certificates issued by any Government Organisation or a Public listed company having an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years. For substantially completed work to be considered, payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value (excluding payment made for adjustment of Price variation) must have been made to the contractor. For subletting of work, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of work to be subletted, in last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of subcontractor shall be asked for. The average annual contractual turnover of the bidder should be minimum 'V/N' or 'V' whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work. The values and percentages mentioned are: - 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender - 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender - 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender - 35% value of work to be subletted - 90% of the present contract value - Rs 50 lakh (for subletting of work) - Rs 500 crore (average annual turnover of a Public listed company)
