M & L for applying Smartcare Dampproof, a fibre reinforced elastomeric liquid water proofing membrane formulated with reinforcing acrylic fibers having Sun Reflectivity Index (SRI) of 105 on top of roof surface in multiple coats @2 litre/sqm. Primary coat is self-priming coat of elastomeric waterproofing liquid (dilution with water in the ratio of 3:1) and other coats needs to be applied undiluted. The coating needs to be reinforced with 40 GSM geotextile, to sandwiched between 2nd & 3rd coat of coating. The application shall be carried out after scrapping and properly cleaning the surface to remove loose particles with wire brushes, complete in all respect as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. When the 2nd coat is wet, the Smartcare EPDM tape (at corners and edges)shall be inserted between second and third coat to secure corners & edges, let the material ooze out from the tapes corner. Same treatment of Smartcare Dampproof shall be continued to the parapet walls to better envelope the whole area. The coating shall be terminated carefully to the other side of the parapet wall.upto G+5 storey bldg.
Notes for item No 3, 4 and 7: (a) The work shall be executed through authorised applicator of manufacturer only.
(b) Authrised Applicator shall be approved by GE before starting of work.
(c) All materials shall be procured directly form manufacturer. The purchase voucher shall be produced to the Engineer-in-Charge for his verification of material.
Engineer-in-Charge shall deface the original purchase vouchers.
(d) MOU with authorized applicator will be submitted by contractor before opening of (f) bid.
(d) A guarantee amount of 5% of contract of work done for item No 3,4 and 7 of BOQ will be retained for 5 years of the completion of work.
