(i) Taking out the core/coil of transformer from tank by disconnecting star delta connection of transformer , After dismantling of Transformer and physical joint inspection of core coil assembly (removing all 3 limbs HV &LV winding from Core Assembly) washing of core assembly by hot oil for removing brunt carbon and copper particles and cleaning of complete top yoke by oil
(ii) Painting inside of the transformer with yellow paint and outside body with synthetic enamel paint of existing tint/color Cleaning inside of the transformer by using transformer oil.
(iii) Refixing/ reassemble of complete core assembly and core coil assembly providing new coils and new tap leads of tap changer including requisite insulation material including heating up the transformer core assembly to remove moisture after carrying out the repairs works .
(iv) Renewal of rubberized gasket set for top cover, Brass spindles, LT and HT bushings ,tap changer connection WTI &OTI connection and CT connection etc. (v) Refilling of the decanted transformer oil after centrifuging and testing for required di-electric strength.
(vi) Refixing the transformer top cover with nuts, bolts and washers and conservator tank ready for final testing all as directed in presence of rep of MES.
(vii) Preparing Inspection report for renewal of parts etc in presence of Engineer - in- charge and Contractor.
(viii) The contractor shall arrange factory visit for the Engineer - in- charge or his representative as and when required, testing of transformer to be done on full load at factory. (ix) Soldering/ brazing or connecting LV bus bars with suitable size nuts, bolts and washers
(x) Providing necessary insulation papers, sleeves, PVC pipes insulation sheet etc. (xi) Renewal of worn out nuts, bolts and washers Note : Coil and insulation shall be measured and paid separately

The following routine test as per IS 1180 (Part I) -2014 shall be carried out at repairing workshop /manufacturer having NABL calibration of test equipments .
(i) Measurement of winding resistance.
(ii) Measurement of voltage ratio and check of voltage vector relationship.
(iii) Measurement of impedance voltage/short circuit impedance (principal tapping) and load loss .
(iv) Measurement of no load loss and current.
(v) Measurement of insulation resistance.
(vi) Dielectric tests
(c) The contractor shall give written warranty of one year for the repaired transformer. Note :-HT/LT leg coils and transformer oil required for top up shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this Schedule here-in-after as supply only.

M&L for hiring, transportation , Installation and testing of serviceable transformer of same capacity or higher in place of unserviceable transformer which is under repair and shifting back to workshop , on hire basis for 15 days when ordered complete all as specified and directed. Note :-1. Repairing of transformer have to be completed within 15 days duration, no extra cost will be paid toward hiring charges beyond 15 days. Moreover contractor shall not be allowed to shift the hired transformer until it is replaced by the repaired transformer. In case any fault/breakage/burning/ peeling of painting and any other defects occurred in hired transformer the contractor shall have to make good himself from his own expenses. Contractor should check the available infrastructure and to be sure regarding safety of hired transformer before installation. The rate quoted is deemed to be included all as transportation cost, , earthing leads lifting/lowering arrangement etc for transformer of capacity upto 630 KVA. Note-2. In case the defective/ unserviceable transformer not repaired & installed on its site within the specified period of 15 days from the date of handing over to contractor ; a penalty recovery @ Rs. 1000/- per day will be charged from his dues. During this period contractor shall not be allowed to shift the hired transformer until it is replaced by the repaired transformer. No extra cost beyond 15 days will be paid to contractor on this account.
