The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having satisfactorily completed as a prime contractor or subcontractor at least one similar work of an agreement of value not less than 25% of the amount put to bid. This means the bidder should have completed a similar work with a value of at least 25% of the current bid amount. For instance, if the bid amount is $100, the bidder should have completed a similar work with a value of at least $25 (25% of $100). The cutoff date for considering these experience certificates is the last date of the month before the last date of receipt of tender, looking back five years from that date. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 50% of the amount put to bid, with at least 50% of this turnover being from civil engineering construction works, in any one year during the last five years. The turnover will be indexed at the rate of 8% per year, updated to the price level of the current financial year in which bids are invited. For example, if the bid amount is $100, the bidder should have had a minimum annual financial turnover of $50 (50% of $100), with at least $25 (50% of $50) coming from civil engineering construction works in one of the last five years.
