The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having satisfactorily completed as a prime contractor or subcontractor at least one similar work of an agreement of value not less than 25% of the amount put to bid. This experience should be within a specific period, which is from the 1st of the month five years prior to the last date of receipt of tender up to the last date of the month before the last date of receipt of tender. For instance, if the last date of receipt of tender is in June 2025, the experience period would be from June 1, 2020, to May 31, 2025. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 50% of the amount put to bid, with at least 50% of this turnover being from civil engineering construction works, in any one year during the last five years. The turnover is indexed at the rate of 8% per year, updated to the price level of the current financial year in which bids are invited. The values and percentages mentioned for similar works completed include at least 25% of the amount put to bid for the value of similar work, and at least 50% of the minimum annual financial turnover being from civil engineering construction works.
