Rural Works Department Tender

The bidder should have experience as a prime contractor or subcontractor in construction works of similar nature and value over the last five years. They should have completed works of similar nature and value, with a total value that can be used to determine their capacity to undertake the contract. The bidder must have satisfactorily completed as a prime contractor or subcontractor at least one similar work with an agreement value of not less than 25% of the amount put to bid. The bidder should have a minimum of 100% or more of the estimated contract value of similar works completed. They should also have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 50% of the amount put to bid, with at least 30% of which is from civil engineering construction works, in any one year in the last five years. The available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, and the bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the total bid value. The value of similar work shall be considered based on one culvert/bridge under a single agreement. The bidder's prior work experience should demonstrate their ability to undertake the contract, with a focus on similar nature and value of work completed over the last five years. The experience certificates for similar work shall be considered for the period starting from the 1st day of the month, 5 years prior to the last date of receipt of the tender, up to the last date of the month before the last date of receipt of the tender.
