The available bid capacity is calculated using the formula: Assessed Available Bid capacity = (A*N*M - B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five financial years, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the construction work, M is 3, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the period of completion of the construction work. To qualify for the award of the Contract, each bidder should have achieved in any one year a minimum annual financial turnover of 50% of the amount put to bid. At least 50% of this turnover should be from civil engineering construction works, as certified by a chartered accountant.
