The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing certain similar works within the last 7 years. The specific requirements are: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, or - One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For composite works, the tenderer must have completed similar works for each component, with values of 30%, 40%, or 60% of the advertised value of each component. In cases where work is to be executed through a subcontractor, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The bidder should also have an average annual contractual turnover of a minimum of V/N or 'V' whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees, and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited. Additionally, work experience certificates from government organizations or public listed companies with an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years will be considered.
