The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed or substantially completed similar works in the last 07 (seven) years. The bidder must have completed any one of the following categories of work(s): 1. Three similar works costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, 2. Two similar works costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, 3. One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For substantially completed work, the payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value (excluding the payment made for adjustment of Price variation) should have been made to the contractor. The credential certificate for this work should have been issued not prior to 60 days of the date of invitation of the present tender. Additionally, completed works started prior to 7 years but completed within the last 7 years can be considered for fulfillment of credentials. The bidder should have minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or ’V’ whichever is less, where V = Advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N = Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited. For subletting of work, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The specific value and percentage mentioned are 90% of the present contract value for substantially completed work.
