M&L for point wiring for light point/ fan point one light/fan/exhaust fan point controlled by one, one way switch using 1.5 sqmm nominal cross sectional area multistranded copper conductor ,PVC insulated unsheathed FR cables in and including suitable size PVC casing and caping , including pressed steel terminal switch boxes , 3 mm thick bakelite sheet top cover (ISI Marked) fitted with Chromium plated brass screws & washers and 1.5 sqmm nominal cross sectioanl area multistranded copper conductor FR PVC insulated unsheathed earth wire and connecting to earth dolly and brass screws, washers etc. complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Red coloured cable shall be used for live connection, black coloured cable shall be used for neutral connection and green coloured cable shall be used for earthing. Separate cable for earthing and neutral to be used for each individual circuit from the distribution board.

Material and labour for earthing complete with galvanised mild steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6.0mm thick, burried directly in ground to a depth not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level surrounded with adequate quantity of charcoal dust mixed with salt to a packed thickness of 15 cm all around the plate, using GI strip 25 x 4 mm as earth strip electrode bolted or rivetted to earth plate at one end and connected to equipments at another end, GI earth strip encased in and including 40 mm dia GI 'light grade' pipe from upper end of earth plate upto equipments,20 dia bore GI pipe 'light grade' as water pipe from earth chamber to upper edge of earth plate, Test point , GI funnel with wire mesh fixed on water pipe and PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) as in pit chamber and RCC pit cover 50mm thick precast RCC 1:2:4 type B-1, duly reinforced with MS round bars 6mm dia @ 100 c/c both ways with 10mm dia MS round bar as in lifting handles, excavation, earth work including laying the GI pipe concealed in floor/wall complete shown and as described in electrical plate No.3 of SSR Part I 2009.complete all as specified and directed and testing on completion. Note :- (i) If the desired earth resistance is not found, earthing shall be redone by the contractor at no extra cost to the department. (ii)Testing to be carried out by the contractor in presence of Enge-in-Charge, (iii) T&P and testing instrument (meger)to be provided by the contractor at own cost.
