MODULAR OT WALLS & CEILING 60 MM PUFF PANELS.
-

Item No 01 : Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of modular OT wall & corner panels with insulated prefabricated puff panels. The OT wall shall be constructed using GI Puff Panels having 0.8mm thick GI sheets on both sides. These panels should have been produced in a double band laminator, in which two continuously moving belts carrying 60-80 GSM galvanized steel sheets of 0.80mm thickness are firmly bonded together by sprayed-in insulating foam, which hardens during the process. The core consists of rigid polyurethane foam, which has been injected under high pressure, with a minimum density of 40kg/m3. The thickness of puff shall be minimum 60mm. The sheet panel shall be of indigenous reputed make and be provided with manufactures test certificate. The puff panel shall be fixed to the floor with bottom track of 1.5mm thick steel U channel section having minimum size of 50mm X 50mm. The bottom shall be fixed in the floor of the OT with 10mm thick and min 60mm long SS fasteners which shall be fully threaded and power drilled. The panels of walls and ceiling shall be tied together by suitable SS coving. The individual wall panels shall be welded together.

[i] The inner surface walls should be fixed to the bricks wall with essential supports plastered and smoothened applied with antiseptic. There should be minimum possible cavity / gap in between the solid and steel walls. The total distance between the inside and outside surface of the operating room should be variable to suit the approved layout, but should be sufficient for the flush mounting of equipments.

[ii] The individual steel wall panels should be spot welded together and stitch gap should not be more then 4 mm uniform at equal intervals to render equal support to the panels. Spot welding should be properly grinded to make the surface level. No joints should be more then 4 mm and to be filled with metal filler and sanded flush on site ready to receive the plastic finish hygiene liquid plastic.

[iii] Wall panel’s joints should be invisible after the final STERILE wall coating is applied. The cavity between the inner and outer walls should be left with minimum obstruction for the possible addition of equipment at a later date and to enable services, pipes, conduits etc. to be run within the cavity. All wall mounted equipment should be flush mounted and sealed into theatre.

[iv] The wall panels design and construction should allow for the installation and support of all equipment and the provision of opening required for the installation, without affecting rigidity and strength of the steel structure shell.

[v] Access boxes should be fitted to the rear of wall mounted equipment to enable maintenance to be carried out from inside/outside the operating room.

STERILE WALL COATING SYSTEMS : ANTI BACTERIAL PAINT :-

Item No 02 : Providing and establishing anti-bacterial & anti fungicidal sterile coating of liquid plastic paint on GI Puff/SS panel of modular OT. The paint should be seamless, easy to clean, should have vapor permeability which allows substrate moisture to escape and protects against growth of bacteria, mound and yeasts, moisture resistance, freez/ thaw resistance. Anti-bacterial paints anti-microbial quality should remain active throughout the life of the product. Vapors permeable structure should allow damp substrates to dry out without causing blistering. It should tolerate cleaning with hospital chemical agents. Filling of all joints and cavities should be with metallic epoxy filler and sand casted flush to provide a joint-less finish. This should include all fittings, accessories, hardware, support structures, etc. required for installation. Anti-bacterial and anti-fungus sterile coating shall be applied on the finished walls & ceiling with at least 2-3 coats to achieve a thickness of minimum 200 micron. Before application of sterile wall coating an appropriate primer shall be applied.

The primer shall be supplied along with the paint and should be of the same make as that of paint and shall be applied prior to coating of anti-bacterial & anti-fungus sterile paint on walls & ceiling 2-3 coats shall be applied to achieve a thickness of 200 microns. Sterile coating and primer shall be applied on the surface by air-less spray gun. Sterile coating shall withstand against application of commonly used cleaners in the operation rooms and shall withstand against regular steam cleaning. Product should have warranty of at least 6 years.

The breathing air filters should have maximum contaminant removal efficiency with minimum pressure drop. The bacteria filters should be designed for critical applications involving the removal of liquid, solid and bacterial contamination from the suction side of vacuum pump systems, each filter is designed and sized to carry the full plant design flow and pressure. [i] Pipe supports
(a) The pipeline should be adequately supported at sufficient intervals to prevent sagging or distortion. Supports for surface mounted pipe work should provide clearance to permit painting of the surface. Where it is essential for pipes to cross electric cables or conduit, they should be supported at intervals on either side of the crossing to prevent them from touching the cables or conduit. Supports should be of suitable material or suitably treated to minimize corrosion.

(a) Installation of piping is carried out with utmost cleanliness. Only pipes, fittings and valves which has been degreased and brought in polythene sealed bags should be used at site. Pipe fixing clamps of nonferrous or non-deteriorating plastic suitable for the lower diameter of the pipe (max. upto 42mm OD). For pipe size of over 42mm, metallic clamps may be used by separating the copper pipe by insulating materials.

(b) All pipe joints should be made using flux less brazing method.

(c) All joints of copper to copper should be brazed by silver brazing filler material without flux.

(d) After erection, the pipes should be flushed with dry nitrogen gas and then pressure tested with dry nitrogen/ Medical Air at a pressure equal to twice the working pressure (or 10.5 kg/cm2 whichever is higher) for a period of not less than 24 hours. All leaks and joints revealed during testing should be rectified and re-tested till the pressure in pipes stands for at least 24 hours.
Finally, before use of the system, each pipeline should be flushed with working gas. All the piping system shall be finally tested in the presence of the authorized representative of WBMSCL for final approval and Certification.

(e) When brazing copper-to-copper joints:
The brazed joints should be made using a silver copper- phosphorus brazing alloy and no flux should be used;
Brazing should be carried out using oxygen-free dry nitrogen as an internal inert gas shield to prevent the formation of oxides inside the surface of the pipes and fittings.
Ensure adequate protection of adjacent pipe runs and other services.

[iv] PAINTING
All exposed pipes should be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint and color codification should be as per IS: 2379 of 1990. Besides pipelines, color band identification should be applied near to valves, junctions, walls etc. A label applied every 3mtr.bearing 6mm size letters should identify each gas. Self-adhesive plastic labels with direction of flow should be used for this purpose. A band 150 mm wide is usually adequate.

[i] The operating theatre shall be equipped with a supply air ceiling to the following specification.

[ii] The air-supply ceiling should provide optimum air distribution over the patient area duly integrated with shadow less lighting.

[iii] The Plan air ceiling should be 2.40 metres x 2.40 metres minimum or as per room size in accordance to HTM 2025 & should be integrated with the adjacent false ceiling

[iv] The ceiling should be constructed with a plenum box supplied with conditioned air from the central system via “S" class HEPA filters & mounted on the exit from the supply ducting.

[v] The ceiling should include integral lighting and a composite air/light diffuser fitted with the anodised aluminium extrusion factory tested for leakage free. The HEPA filters should be factory tested and certified. Test seals must be provided in the filter housing in accordance with DIN 1946 and DIN 4799.

[vi] The ceiling should incorporate supports to secure it to the main structural frame of the modular operating theatre.

[vii] The ceiling should be constructed from 1.6 mm thick aluminium sheet frame painted, white after manufacture. Air should be diffused into the theatre uniformly over the total operating area.

[viii] The Laminar flow ceiling should also have illumination across its total area.

[xi] The Air light diffusers should consist of one-two layers of monofilament precision woven polyester bonded to aluminium frames.

[xii]The screens should have uniform porosity, with an open area of sufficient resistance to create laminar airflow from the diffuser face.

[xiii]The operating lamps should be secured directly to the framework of the supply ceiling in such a way as to minimise deflection. Further to take care of slab height. in addition to the lighting in the central area, optional lighting channel should be constructed around the perimeter of the flat ceiling area.

[xiv] This should contain a ring of high frequency fluorescent tubes to provide additional lighting outside the operating area to provide a minimum lighting level of 1000 Lux throughout the operating theatre. There should be indicators on both sides of the OT so that the door open/close status can be monitored from both ends. Note :
(i) Contractor to submit detailed construction drawings of lifts being provided with complete technical specifications as per IS: 14665 (including all ammendments up to date) before dispatch of material from OEM for approval of GE. (ii) The scope of work also covered the civil work comprising cutting of holes and making good. car and counter weight guide rails and bracket, terminal buffers supports and sill angle, plates and any other items required for successfull completion of lift with respect to safety required by the OEM, will be carried out by contactor without any extra cost.

(iii) The contractor shall be responsible for 02 years DLP from certified date of completion of GE. During the said DLP period the lift,shall be kept functional/ serviceable all the time & all consumable items shall be provided by contractor for operation & maintenance of lift. All periodical maintenance regular check up/ inspection shall be carried out by OEM during 02 years DLP period .In addition to regular checkups and periodical services special visit/inspection will also be carried out to rectify defects by representative of OEM if any emergency / trouble developed.An agreement will be made between contractor & OEM and this shall be submitted to GE atleast 06 months prior to the issue of completion for Phase-I and II for the comprenssive maintenance of lift. The cost of above shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates.

(iv) The provision of suitable steel structure/ palteform for installation of lift equipment is part of lift item and nothing extra shall be paid. (v) If any clearance required from state goverment i.e. lift inspector/ electrical safety department/ fire safety departments is the contactor's responsibility & any expenditure on this account shall deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (vi) Any other component which are left out, but essentialiy required as per OEM's design, shall be provided without any extra cost. (g )Lift technician shall be provided for 24X7 period including Sunday and holiday by the contracor for its functioning, operation or any issue arising in the lift during defect liability period. Any maint /replacement of any items during defect liability period will be borne by he contractor.
(h) Lift shall be taken over after inspection of lift by Sr IEM and all Mandatory test/fitness obtain from OEM consequent upon all satisfactory results.

Annual Maintenance of Lift

(c) OEM's liable to CUSTOMER for repairing to all effective parts including main and auxilary motors, gears, controlling unit, governor system, start/ stop mechanism, battery, fan, lights, LCDs, intercom systems, alarm system and parts mentioned in Appx witout demanding extra cost (Rate should be inclusive to quoted rate).

(f) Contractor will liable to fixing the major parts without demanding any extra cost (It should be inclusive to the anuual AMC)
(g) Contractor shall conclude AMC for contract with OEM and copy of the agreement will be submitted to Engineer-in-Charge and GE before commencement of AMC. No payment will be made to contractor without submission of valid AMC agreement.

(l) Any delay in attending breakdown will attract penalty @ Rs 500 for first 4-8 hours after receiving complain and @Rs 1500 for every 8 hours of delay in rectification of complaints
