The bid capacity required can be calculated using the formula: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A X N X 2-B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next 18 months. The available bid capacity should be greater than or equal to the evaluated bid price to be eligible for the contract.
Technical Capacity
The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having a minimum financial turnover of 40% in civil engineering construction works. The bidder must have satisfactorily completed works of single work-80% or double works-50% (each of double works) or triple works-40% (each of triple works) of contract value, as a prime contractor, with at least one single similar work of value not less than 80% of the work value, in any one year of the last five years. The work value is approximately Rs. 2,20,00,000.00. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum average annual financial turnover, the amount of which is indicated in Appendix-I. The bidder is also required to provide information on quantities of work executed, bid capacity, and details on the value of works remaining to be completed.
