The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The bidder should have completed a single similar work of value not less than 1/3 (one third) of the DNIT value, with not less than 90% of contract value completed. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 60% of the DNIT value up to Rs. 200 Lakh and 75% of the DNIT value for more than Rs. 200 Lakh in any one year. The bidder should have executed in any one year, the minimum quantities of the major items of work, usually not less than 40% of the estimated quantity. For similar works, the value should be at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work mentioned, excluding maintenance cost for four years, and not less than one third of the contract value. The bidder should have completed quantities of work done in the last 5 years, with a value of at least 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. Additionally, the bidder should have experience of similar work with a value of at least 25% of the estimated cost of the package. However, for unemployed Graduate/Diploma Engineers, the minimum annual financial turnover is 25% of the DNIT, with a weightage of 10% per year for completed works in previous years. The bidder should have completed at least 25% of the estimated cost of the package in similar works. The bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the total bid value, calculated as (A*N*2-B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works.
