The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - Project Manager: B.E. Civil + 3 to 5 Years Exp. - Site Engineer: B.E. Civil + 1 Years Exp. Or Diploma in Civil Engg + 3 years Exp - Plant Engineer: B.E. Mech. + 1 years Exp. Or Dip. Mech. + 5 years Exp. - Quantity Surveyor: B.E. Civil. + 1 years Exp. Or Dip. Civil. + 5 years Exp. - Soil & Material Engineer: B.E. Civil. + 1 years Exp. Or Dip. Civil. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature as prime contractor over the last five years, with a contract value and completion percentage. Specifically, the bidder should have: - Completed at least one similar work with a value of not less than 1/3 of the DNIT value, with a completion percentage of not less than 90%. - Executed a minimum quantity of major items of work, usually not less than 40% of the estimated quantity. - Achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 60% or 75% of the DNIT value, depending on the value. The value of similar work is 1/3rd of the respective value of work, and it should not be less than one third of the contract value. The annual financial turnover amount is also considered, which is 60% of the DNIT value up to Rs. 200 Lakh and 75% of the DNIT value for more than Rs. 200 Lakh in any one year. The bidder should have completed a total value of Civil Engineering construction work, with specific values required for each year. The required prior work experience for the bidder is 5 years for a B.E. Civil + 5 years Exp. or 1 year for a B.E. Civil + 1 year Exp. or Dip. Civil. Additionally, evidence of access to or availability of credit facilities (minimum 10% of notified contract value) certified by the bankers is required. The bidder must also demonstrate availability of equipment required for construction of road and bridge works, either owned or on lease or hire. The bidder's performance report of already allotted works is also evaluated before allotment of new work, and no work will be allotted to a bidder who has displayed poor performance in any already allotted works. Relaxation in qualification criteria is also provided for unemployed Graduate/Diploma Engineers, with a minimum annual financial turnover of 25% of the DNIT in any one year.
