The required prior work experience for the bidder includes satisfactory completion or substantial completion (not less than 90% of contract value) of at least one similar work of value not less than 1/3rd of the estimated value mentioned. The bidder should have completed similar works in the last 5 years. The value of similar work completed should be at least 1/3rd of the estimated value, and the percentage of completion should be at least 90%. The cost of completed works of previous years shall be given weightage of 10% per year based on the rupee value to bring them to the present price level. The bidder should have a minimum annual financial turnover of 60% of the estimated cost of the package for works of value up to Rs 200 lakhs and 75% of the estimated cost of the package for works of value more than Rs 200 lakhs in any one year. The bidder should also have prior work experience, specifically in the construction of road and bridge works, with a minimum annual financial turnover and experience in the construction of road and bridge works.
