The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The bidder should have completed works with a value of at least 40% of the estimated cost put to tender in a single job during the last 5 years. The bidder should also have experience of having successfully completed similar works during the last 7 years, with options including: i) Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost put to tender OR ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 60% of the estimated cost put to tender OR iii) One similar work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost put to tender. Additionally, the bidder should have completed electrical works with a value of at least 40% of the electrical works. The bidder should also have liquid assets or credit facilities of at least 10% of the estimated cost put to tender and possess a solvency of minimum 40% of the estimate cost put to tender or a net-worth certificate of minimum 10% of the estimate cost put to tender. The bidder needs to propose to invest a minimum of cost up to 25% of the contract value of work during implementation of the contract. The bidder should have access to or availability of credit facilities, certified by the bankers, with a minimum of 10% of the estimated cost.
