The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing similar works within the last 7 years. The bidder must have completed one of the following: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For composite works, the tenderer must have completed one of the following categories of work during the last 7 years: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The value of similar works completed is considered, including the overall cost and the price variation amount (if paid). For substantially completed work, the total gross amount already paid, including the price variation amount (if paid), is considered as the cost of substantially completed work. In the case of a subcontractor, the required prior work experience includes successfully completing at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The average annual contractual turnover is calculated as an average of "total contractual payments" in the previous three financial years, as per the audited balance sheet. The available bid capacity is calculated based on the maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year. For newly formed partnership firms, the credentials of individual partners from previous proprietary firms or dissolved previous partnership firms or split previous partnership firms are considered only to the extent of their share in the previous entity on the date of dissolution/split and their share in the newly formed partnership firm. The average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years, excluding the current financial year, is considered for work experience certificates issued by any Government Organization or PSU company.
