The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed or substantially completed specific categories of work(s) during the last 7 years. These categories include: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, or (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. The bidder must also have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or 'V' whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited. The average annual contractual turnover is calculated as an average of total contractual payments in the previous three financial years. No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned, but the bidder needs to provide information on their past contractual payments. Similar work is defined as signalling works of RRI or PI or EI indoor works with or without outdoor works with supply of EI or relay and other signalling equipment.
