The required prior work experience for the bidder involves completing similar works within the last 7 years. The experience requirements are as follows: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For subletting of work, the subcontractor shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of work to be subletted, in last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of subcontractor shall be asked. In case of tenders for composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The works should have been completed within the last 7 years, ending on the last day of the month previous to the one in which the tender is invited. No specific amount or percentage of similar works completed is mentioned, other than the above-mentioned percentages and the exception for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh.
