Refixing of serviceable termination rods of any size with and including provision of new nuts, bolts, washers, as required complete all as specified and as directed Note: Serviceable termination rods obtained from dismantling shall be used under this item. Rods shall be duly straightened and dressed before fixing.

Refixing of aluminium strip of any size with and including provision of new saddles and fixing screws, FRP insulators, etc. for roof conductors, down conductors and wall conductors above the ground, etc. brazed /welded at each joint complete all as specified and as directed Note: Serviceable strips obtained from dismantling shall be used under this item. Strips shall be duly straightened and dressed before fixing.

S&F copper strip of size 20x3.15mm with saddles and fixing screws, FRP insulators, etc. for roof conductors, down conductors and wall conductors above the ground, etc. brazed /welded at each joint complete all as specified and as directed

M&L for test point terminal block made of gun metal phosphorus bronze, size 75x75x25mm, drilled and screwed with sheet metal enclosure of size 100x100x100mm fabricated out of steel sheet not less than 1.6mm thick and including 3Nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screws including taking down old terminal block and disposing off complete all as specified and as directed

&L for earthing using GI earthing strip with galvanised steel earth plate electode 600x600x6mm thick buried directly in ground, earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below ground level connection to and including GI strip of size 32x6mm extended to 7.5m as earth lead by means of GI bolts, nuts, etc. with provision of charcoal and salt all as per electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I including water arrangement with GI pipe 20mm dia (medium grade), earth lead protection pipe 50mm medium grade with bends, elbow, etc. from earth plate to test point, excavation and earthwork in any type of soil, returning, filling, ramming and removing of soil to distance not exceeding 50m, make good to match with existing surface making PCC pit (earth chamber) having internal size 300x300x300mm and outer size 600x 600x600mm with RCC reinforced cover 50mm thick and testing on completion including making test points on wall as per SSR specifications complete all as specified and as directed

&L for earthing using copper earthing strip with copper steel earth plate electrode 600x600x3.15mm thick buried directly in ground, earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below ground level connection to and including copper strip of size 20x3mm extended to 7.5m as earth lead by means of GI bolts, nuts, etc. with provision of charcoal and salt all as per electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I including water arrangement with GI pipe 20mm dia (medium grade), earth lead protection pipe 50mm medium grade with bends, elbow, etc. from earth plate to test point, excavation and earthwork in any type of soil, returning, filling, ramming and removing of soil to distance not exceeding 50m, make good to match with existing surface making PCC pit (earth chamber) having internal size 300x300x300mm and outer size 600x 600x600mm with RCC reinforced cover 50mm thick and testing on completion including making test points on wall as per SSR specifications complete all as specified and as directed

Notes for serial item Nos. 14 & 15: (i) The cost of GI / Cu earth continuity wire / strip with GI pipe 20mm medium grade upto 7.5m is deemed to be included (ii) The earth chamber to be constructed 0.5m from edge of earth pit with necessary watering arrangement. The cost for the same is deemed to be included in above item (iii) Earthing shall produce desired earth resistance values as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of maintenance free earthing system consisting of 1No. vertical copper pipe (inner dia 50mm and outer dia 80mm) electrodes, 3m long, with 32x6mm copper strip interconnected with earth electrode of UL listed tested for 250micron copper bonded low carbon steel core of 3m long, 17.2mm dia buried directly in ground and tapered at the bottom (150-175 dia digging or auguring of earth to the required depth as directed) along with a 20mm dia perforated PVC/GI watering pipe and filled up in bottom with slurry 3kg plain bentonite for moisture and based earth enhancing compound (having chemical composition bentonite-40%, copper sulphate-20%, gypsum-5%, graphite-10%, alum-5%, zinc sulphate-10% and aluminium sulphate-10%) and arrangement for connection of copper strip (32x6mm) to rod by means clamp rod to flat clamp of size 25mmx3mm to the electrode tested for minimum 76% IACS, copper earth strip connected by means clamp, provision of polymer chamber with cover, including necessary excavation in any type of soil, returning, filling in, removal of surplus soil, the rest of the ore shall be fitted with well compacted earth and top of the bore shall be finished with 40mm thick PCC in 1:2:4 type B1 over 75mm thick PCC in 1:4:8 and back fill/JAM compound with 40mm thick pit cover in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1, using 20mm graded stone aggregate reinforced with 8mm dia MS bars 3Nos. both ways completed all as specified and as directed

Notes for serial item No. 17: (i) The earthing shall comply to IS 3043, UL 467, BS/EN50164-7 (ii) The earth resistance shall be less than 1Ohm. A guarantee for 3years of this criterion on a Rs. 100 stamp paper shall be given by the Contractor. The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of this aspect (iii) To obtain earth resistance less than 1Ohm, if a combination two or more earthings are to be inter-connected or the length of the electrode/s is/are to be increased it shall be measured and paid as one earthing only (iv) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of Departmental rep and requisite test reports shall be submitted (v) Cost of all excavation & earthwork required shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate

M&L for testing earth resistance of existing earth pits as and when required using earth resistance testing equipment complete all as specified and as directed Notes: (a) Testing shall be done in accordance to relevant IS and test reports shall be submitted to the Engineer-in-charge for payment purposes (b) Entire testing of each earth pit shall be measured as one unit (c) The testing shall be carried out as and when directed in parts or as a whole (d) All necessary testing equipment, apparatus, instruments, etc. as required at site shall be provided by the Contractor (e) All such testing carried out shall be recorded in pucca bound register in approved format duly signed by all concerned. The Contractor shall provide such register as directed by the Enginner-in-charge and also assist in maintaining the same (f) The quoted rate shall be inclusive of all the above and no claim whatsoever shall be entertained at any later date

M&L for repairs to existing earth pits including replacement of broken RCC covers with new 50mm thick pre-cast cover slab of RCC (1:2:4) type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregates, reinforced with 8mm dia deformed bars @150mm c/c (both ways) including suitable MS handle duly embedded in RCC complete all as specified and as directed

M&L for taking down earth strips and testing of resistance of existing earth pits of lightning conductors for continuity by skilled technician or electrician using digital earth resistance testers, checking the health of earthing system, rectifying the faults and carrying out repairs to revive the entire functionality of the earth pits complete all as specified and as directed Notes: (a) Testing shall be done in accordance to relevant IS and test reports shall be submitted to the Engineer-in-charge for payment purposes (b) Entire testing of each earth pit shall be measured as one unit (c) All necessary testing equipment, apparatus, instruments, etc. as required at site shall be provided by the Contractor (e) Earth strips and terminal blocks will be measured and paid separately under respective item herein. Pouring of water and filling of salts with all necessary arrangements as required shall be deemed to be included in rate quoted (f) The quoted rate shall be inclusive of all the above and no claim whatsoever shall be entertained at any later date

Supply, erect in position and fixing steel tubular swaged poles with CI base plate (300x300mm and 6mm thick), finial taper plug, pole caps, bolts, nuts and screws type 410 SP-64, 12m long, conforming to IS: 2713 (Parts-I & II), with detachable bracket arms including two coats of aluminium paint over shop coat of primer, two coats of black bituminous paint at bottom part upto 1.5m above GL and writing pole number in approved font at any locations including shutting of power lines, etc. all necessary excavation / earthwork, PCC coping etc. and taking down of old / unserviceable poles and disposing and carting off complete all as specified and as directed
