RECONDITIONING OF GATE, GLOBE, CHECK, BUTTERFLY, PLUG VALVES OF ANY CLASS Job involves transportation of valves (any class) from owners storage location to contractor's store, identifying the repairable valves by visual inspection, opening and dismantling of valves, cleaning by rustoline or kerosene of all the components thoroughly, further inspection of internal parts in the presence of the Engineer-in-Charge, repair / reconditioning of valves by hand facing, machining, grinding, lapping etc. with all tools, tackles, replacement of missing or defective parts such as studs and nuts of gland, body hand wheel, nut bonnet, back seat bush, gland chaser and any other parts recommended by Engineer-in-Charge and finally re-assembling the valves, gland packing and testing as per API 598 / BS 5146. Contractor will deploy technically qualified, experienced, skilled manpower in sufficient quantity, to carry out the necessary jobs in well organised way so that the job can be completed within scheduled time. Requirement of heavy equipment to be envisaged by Engineer in Charge and to be arranged separately, if required, as the same in not included in the item rate. Overhauling,Revisioning,Testing of PSVs/TSV/POSV/PVRV/PRV: The job involves opening & dismantling of safety valves (PSVs/TSV/PVRV/PRV,including pilot operated safety valves), cleaning by kerosene or rustoline of all the components thoroughly and further inspection of internal parts for damage in the presence of EIC/inspection. Repair/ Reconditioning of safety valves by hand facing, grinding, lapping etc., with all tools & tackles, replacement of defective spare (supplied by IOCL) & any other parts recommended by EIC/inspection.Finally assembling the safety valves after getting clearance from EIC/ Inspector and testing as per API 598/BNS 5146 in presence of Inspector. In case the safety valves fail during testing the above sequence is to be repeated at no extra cost. Note:- - The safety valves shall be painted by Aluminium paint- two coats or as recommended by Inspection & rust preventer to be applied for healthy preservation. - The stenciling of equipment no. & PSVs/TSV/POSV/PVRV/PRV no. shall be in the scope of contractor. - Supply of spares (wedges/plug/disc & body stand wheel) is under IOCL scope. - Supply of consumables like paint, rustoline, lapping compound, optical flat & surface plate lapping for testing up to 100kg/cm2 are in contractor's scope. - Arrangement of nitrogen gas and testing shall be in contractor's scope. - Test bench shall be in contractor's scope. - If the safety valve after dismantling if found beyond repair, it is to be assembled with the existing components and in such case no extra payment shall be made for dismantling etc. - Inlet size of valve shall be considered for payment. - Rate given is also applicable for Pilot Safety Valves.
