FIRE PROOFING

FIRE PROOFING : Providing fire proofing to steel structures, equipment structural supports, consisting of rolled steel sections by encasing of rolled steel sections with Vermiculite based lightweight cementitious fireproof if thickness corresponding to 2 reinforcement to the nuts with 18 gauge galvanised ( having zinc coating of100gms/sqm) tie soft wire @ 300 mm c/c, smooth formwork, aligning, removing it and repair of damaged surfaces if any, providing chamfering at corners. This excludes welding of nuts to surface. The nuts will be already welded by the Steel supplier to the surface where fire proofing is required. Supplying and laying of minimum 10mm thick Bitumen mastic flashing conforming to IS 3037 for sealing all exposed joints between fireproofing material coating and steel .A sealer coat of 100 micron of FP-3B (polyamide cured epoxy resin medium suitably pigmented) shall be applied over the fireproofing surface as a base for the finish coat as per TP-1ZZZA-PI-SPE-0003. The sealing compound shall be compatible and approved by fireproofing material supplier. The finish coat shall be pre-qualified for coating system No. 1 of NORSOK Standard M-501. Two coats of FP-1 (acrylic elastomeric or polyurethane) 40 Micron each shall be used as finish coat as per TP-1ZZZA-PI-SPE-0003. The sealing compound shall be compatible and approved by fireproofing material supplier. Paint shall be compatible with fire proofing material. All above as per Technical specifications and other sections as applicable and complete ITB hours fire rating as per respective UL design number under UL-1709 ( XR category) subject to a minimum of 40mm including required scaffolding, placing, finishing, curing, sealing of exposed joints, receiving, fabricating, securing in position hard drawn steel wire - 3mm dia, 50 x 50 mesh @ 2.22 kg/m² as per IS-1566 and tying

FIRE PROOFING : All activities same as 22.5 but for skirts, saddles of equipment This excludes welding of nuts to surface. The nuts will be already welded by the equipment vendor to the surface where fire proofing is required. Paint coating system provided by equipment vendor to equipment where fire proofing is expected, as per Painting Specification - TP-1ZZZA-PI-SPE-0003_D4 and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
