Carrying out planning of detailed drainage scheme(surface drain & sub surface drain) and calculation of earthwork required for the runway, link taxi track, dispersal, hardstanding etc and submission of the same in 4 hardcopies and softcopy with showing all details of site as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note :Technical Parameters required to be incorporated while planning the drainage scheme and earthwork calculation for runway and its connected structures/parts are as under:- (i) The level of runway at one end is the existing pavement /landing surface.
(ii) Dimensions of runway, taxi track, dispersal, hardstanding as specified. (iii) Longitudinal slope : to be planned not exceeding 1% as per para 5.1.4 of ICAO Aerodrome Design Manual.
(iv) Transverse slope : to be planned not exceeding 1.5% as per para 5.1.12 of ICAO Aerodrome Design Manual.
(v) Slope of earthern shoulders : to be planned as 2.50% as per para 5.2.9 of ICAO Aerodrome Design Manual.
(vi) Pavement cross section as under: (a) PQC : 225 mm (b) DLC : 150 mm (c) WMM : 150 mm (in one layer) (d) GSB Grade V: 300 mm (In two layers of 150 mm each).
(vii) Sub surface drainage to be designed as per IRC SP 42:2014

Compilation of Complete Report (SSI, Topographical, Earthwork Calculation and Surface and Sub-surface drainage scheme) as per relevant IS/IRC and recommendation/suggestion for soil stabilization /improvement of subgrade for runway and other allied pavements. Submission of all report booklets ,08 (Eight) copies with CD 03 (Three) copies duly indicating the findings and recommendations as per above.

Carrying out soil Investigation as per relevant IS for the Name of work as mentioned above, complete all as specified and directed including the following: - (a) Boring 150mm dia hole at various locations as shown at Site byEngineer-in-Charge in any kind of soil but excluding rock, collection of undisturbed sample at every 1.00m depth, Collection of disturbed sample at suitable as required at site. Conducting standard penetration test as per relevant IS as an interval of 1.50m. (i) Upto a depth of 15.00m - 54 Nos. (ii) Trail Pit of size (1.2x1.2x1.2) - 02 Nos * Note:-01 Nos Borehole (01 x Centre) + 01 Nos Trail Pit (Size 1.2m x 1.2m) 5.00m away from BH (Both Centrally placed) (b) Carrying out the following laboratory tests on the soil samples as per IS Codes: - per 54 Nos of borewell (i) Sieve analysis and Hydrometer tests of identification and classification of soil based on properties and grain size. (ii) Specific gravity of the soil. (iii) Studies of settlement characteristics of soil based on consolidation tests and liquid and plastic limit. (iv) Stratification of soil for entire depth of bore log including ground water table location and other properties. Evaluation of shear parameters of undisturbed soil samples by adopting direct shear test. (v) Nature moisture content (NMC), Void Ratio and Porosity, Tri-Axial and direct shear test and unconfined compression test of undisturbed samples and Bulk, submerged and Dry Density of the soil. (c) Compilation of SSI Report as per IS (viz. Filed and Laboratory test results, Preparation of reports, Recommendation for different type of foundations, water table) with clear unambiguous recommendations for types of foundation for all structures with bearing capacity/pile capacities.
The recommendations will be duly vetted by the vetting agency as per Notes.
Submission of all report booklets 05 (Five) copies with CD 01 (One) copy duly indicating the following:- (i) Evaluation of safe bearing capacity of the soil with respect to shear failure test and permissible settlement (Total and differential) alongwith recommendation about type of foundation and minimum depth of foundation to be adopted. (for UG Sump only) (iv) Specific suggestion if any soil treatment if required below foundation/ ground floor/roads and type of treatment to be carried out. (v) Bore log diagram duly showing the different layers of strata met alongwith their depths.

General Notes for all items of BOQ-
1. Following points to be included in the SSI report (not comprehensive, appropriate data/information may be added as per requirement:- (a) Introduction (b) Objection of the geotechnical investigations (c) Details of the proposed structures (d) Site conditions. (e) Field investigations (f) Laboratory test results (g) Soil Profile (h) Allowable bearing capacity-based on SPT ‘N’ values, ‘c-Ø’ value and permissible settlement with sample calculations.Complete calculations will be submitted in soft copy in the same CD containing the SSI Report. (j) Liquefaction analysis with calculations. (k) Foundation alternatives duly tabulated building wise. (l) Clear recommendations duly vetted by IIT/NIT/Govt Engg College. A table showing building name, BH No, depth & coordinates of the BH corrected SPT ‘N’ values and the recommended SBC and clear recommendation for depth and type of foundation including any soil improvement matching with the site plan should form part of the recommendations foundation including any required Soil improvement matching with the site plan should form part of the recommendations. (m) Annexure including bore logs, c- Ø and indicated for BHs, Likelihood of water-logging at site must also be checked. (n) Planning of detailed drainage scheme(surface drain & sub surface drain) and calculation of earthwork required for the runway, link taxi track, dispersal, hardstanding etc 2. If the soil/water has high (more than permissible) contents of sulphate, chlorides or any other deleterious material, the same should be brought out and appropriate recommendation be offered. The required chemical analysis needs to be undertaken for the same.
3. All relevant IS code on the subject should be followed and mentioned at appropriate places.
