M/L for attending LT breakdown complaints/defects from transformer LT terminal box upto Bldg feeder pillar box/DBs with connected switchgears, cables etc complete for making the continuity of supply after rectifying the defects of the electrical network by carrying out with the following scope of work:- (i) cable faults : disconnecting the both ends of cable and check the insulation resistance value.Physical inspection / tracing the cable in cable duct/ trenches. Cutting/disconnecting damaged portion and re-checking for insulation value, and make the cable connection after rectification at both end terminations to restore the power supply.
(ii) unserviceable control switch gears / MCCBs / MCB: remove the MCCB/MCB from the panel board and clean the carbonized / burnt surfaces with varnish / CRC solution to make good and fix the new MCCB of suitable rating and connect the cable to MCCB terminals with proper lugging and by applying proper torque to avoid loose connections. spreader links shall be provided if necessary as per site requirement.
(iii) Terminals/lugs failure: check for any cable terminal damage / melting by over heating, loose contacts. the damaged portion of cable shall be removed and fixing the lugs and terminate the cable by applying proper torque to avoid loose connections and proper re-distribution of over loading of cable complete all as specifed and as directed.
Note :- (i) cable joint kit, MCCB/MCB, lugs and cable fault detection by fault finding machine, any excavation earth work shall be measured and paid seperately under relevant items. spreader links /insulation tape shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted.
(iii) Each Breakdown complaint/defect attended shall be measured as one job through job card.
(iv) The contractor shall depute necessary man power on daily basis for rectifying the jobs including sundays and holidays.

Dismantling the cable connections of four pole/ three pole Air circuit breaker of capacity 800 to 1250 Amps ,415 V 50 HZ of L&T Make/C&S/GE/ABB make, strip opening the Air circuit breaker, inspecting the parts for serviceability/overhauling complete and carrying out the following repairs/maintenance :- a) Cleaning the insulation parts including bushings with CRC solution.
b) Checking the alignment and condition of movable and stationary contacts and adjust them all as per manufacturer's instructional manual.
c) Check the bolts, nuts, washers, cotter pins and all terminal connections are in place and tights. Replace the worn-out parts. d) Check arc chutes for damage .
e) Clean and lubricate the operating mechanism with a light machine oil for pins and bearings and with a non-hardening grease for the wearing surfaces . Adjust breaker operating mechanism all as per manufacturer's instructional manual . f) Checking / inspecting shunt trip coil for serviceability and replacing the same if required. g) Checking control device free for operation.
j) Check after servicing the circuit breaker to verify the contacts move to the fully opened and fully closed positions, that there is an absence of friction and that the electrical operation is functional.
Note : The rate quoted deemed to be inclusive of T&P and minor spares like lubricants, nuts/bolts/washers/ pins etc. Major spares like Shunt release & trip coil etc will be measured & paid separately under relevant schedule items.
