M&L for earthing complete with Galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below GL) with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 Mtr below normal ground level, earth plate surrounded from all sides by 15cm thick and packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt filling in alternate layers and electrode connections by using galvanised iron strip 25×4mm connected by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washer of galvanized iron or steel, provision of 15 mm dia GI pipe medium grade for protection of G1 earth wire and 20mm dia GI pipe medium grade for watering arrangement and PCC (1:3:6) , type CI chamber. Note: (i) Cost of earth wire and GI protection pipe upto 7.5mtr length shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (ii) The unit rate shall also includes for Wire mesh, funnel, excavation, returning & filling, PCC chamber pit, RCC cover & test point.(iii) PCC pit shall be provided at least 500mm away from the earth pit and not just on the earth pit.(iv) If the desired earth resistance is not achieved during testing as per IS , the complete earthing shall be replaced / repaired by the contractor at his own cost and no extra claim shall be admissible. (vi) Earth test report shall be submitted to Accepting Officer for the payment of RAR / FB
