The pontoon hull & internal scantlings are to be chipped, scrapped & cleaned to mark the hull, deck plates & internal scantling to crop & renew under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

Gauging including preparation of report of the under repair pontoon hull, deck plates & internal scantlings prior to crop & renew as per ship repairing practice under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. The report to be submitted to the Engineer-in-charge.

Preparation of design & fabrication drawing / as built drawing report with necessary detailing of the existing Pontoon complying with ship building practice prior commencement of renewal/fabrication works under instruction & satisfaction of Engineering - in- Charge prior to commencement of works.

Crop & renewal of pontoon hull, deck plates ( 8.0 mm & doubler 16.0 mm) with (SAIL/TATA) tested plate (IS:2062 E 250 Grade-A & B) fabricated with approved electrode (ESAB make or equivalent) & deck fittings, internal scantlings, manholes with steel materials of required dimensions satisfying ship building / ship repairing quality as per IWT Dte. , void spaces vent pipe to fixup, under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge. Necessary Testing certificate to be produced, as per ship building practice.

The outer hull & deck with fittings shall be shot /sand blasted prior to apply initial primer coatings under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Provide & fix up sacrificial anode (Zn) (weight should be atleast - 2.5kg to 3.0 kg each) to be fitted with MS cleat over the pontoon outer hull, under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

The reconstructed pontoon shall be cleaned mechanically / manually internal & external area prior to apply paints. The pontoon external hull area including deck, fittings & internal void spaces shall be painted with 2-coats Tuffkote Red Oxide Zinc Chromate Primer, final 2 coat BIPIGARD / EPIGARD to be painted upto water level as per painting schedule under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

The reconstructed pontoon shall be cleaned prior to apply paints. The pontoon bottom & side hull shall be painted with 2-coats Tuffkote Red Oxide Zinc Chromate Primer, final 2 coat BIPIGARD / EPIGARD & 2 coat of antifouling paints (marine quality) with using the bonding coat (intermediate coat) to be painted upto water level as per painting schedule under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

The fender made of 150 mm half round MS pipe with 8.0 mm thickness shall be fixed on the berthing side of pontoon Longitudinal:30.0 m & Vertical: 10 Nos. X 0.5 m with MS doubler plate (8.0 mm) welded with hull under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

After descaling & painting U-2 grade better quality anchor chains of 48.0 mmɸ - 50.0mmɸ along with test certificate & joining 'D' shackles shall supply at site for mooring the pontoon at desired location under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Provide and suplly at site good quality with or without stock steel anchor of 3.0 to 3.5 MT along with 'D' shackle / swivel & deliver at site for mooring the pontoon at desired location under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Provide and suplly at site good quality 'D' shackle / Joining shackle & deliver at site for mooring the pontoon at desired location under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Provide & fix up fairlead (made of cast iron) of standard dimension on the pontoon, under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Provide & fix up bollard of standard dimension on the pontoon, under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

The repaired pontoon with all accessories required for installation is to be towed to site for installation along with gangway and yoke assemblies after loading the same under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer in charge.

The Pontoon mooring gears (existing) to be removed & same to be kept in safe & secured in position for further use. The demooring of pontoon is to be carried out under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

Lifting of the existing Gangway from the Yoke staging platform & placing over the pontoon (spare) for towing to repairing yard, placing on Wooden blocks with the help of Heavy duty pullers, Chain Pulley blocks, other Tools / Tackles, wire ropes, Poly propelene ropes etc. as per the direction & instruction to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge

Lifting / taking out the existing yoke with roller, yoke base, roller base plate, roller stool box etc. from yoke staging platform and placing the same at desired location again as per the direction & instruction to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

Grouting the foundation bolt (by HILTI method ) for yoke and roller base plate from yoke staging platform as per the direction & instruction to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

The repaired Pontoon alongwith gangway mooring shall be undertaken complying with river LWL & HWL, bore tide & observing the Jetty site condition with reference to the embankment by necessary tools & tackles under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

The repaired gangway and pontoon are to be secured with necessary chain & joining shackles. The mooring of the pontoon with existing / additional chain with anchor shall be done maintaning the tide of river under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer in charge.

Spare pontoon hire charges including towing to site along with all material i.e. anchor-chain & other sundry items necessary for mooring the pontoon and towed back to shipyard at Kolkata / Howrah as per direction of the Engineer-in Charge.

The existing pontoon shall be demoored and towed to ship repairing yard along with Gangway and taken out yoke with yoke assemblies by Tug / Launch for dry dock repair .

Structural Steel Gangway : Size : L : 40.0 M X B :4.65 M X D : 5.05 M

The Gangway shall be unloaded at Ship repairing yard from the pontoon and blocked for reapir as per ship repairing practice under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

The builder shall prepare design and detail fabrication drawing by a Structural Engineer of Govt. Organisation / University complying with ship building practice for approval under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Provide, supply, test (certificate to provide) all steel (make SAIL/TATA) (IS:2062 E 250 Grade A&B) and fabricate, crop & renew with approved electrode (ESAB make or equivalent) including bottom & top cord , vertical & cross member, logitudinal & cross bracing , 16 mm thick chqd.plate all complete as per design & approved drawings at approved location complying with ship building practice as per IWT. Yoke & Gangway roller holding brackets, flap plate ,roller resting stool box to fabricate complying with ship building practice under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

The Gangway after completion of fabrication shall be sand blasted prior to apply initial primer coatings under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

The Gangway after completion of fabrication shall be cleaned by Mechanically & manually bottom chord line along with cross beam ,bracing & logitudinal bracing of gangway including the chqd. plate (top &bottom), prior to to apply 2 coats of Tuffkote ROZC primer & final 2 coat Lustrol Aluminium paint & 2 coats of Black Bituminus (marine grade) applying in the bottom of gangway under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge

Manufacture & supply as per approved drawings Yoke with yoke base (CI grade : 40), forged steel yoke pin with nut, yoke rollers (2 nos.), Gangway rollers(3 nos.) with pin (IS : 1875 class IV) placed on board of the pontoon for towing to installation site & 4 nos high tensile / HSFG bolts & nuts for yoke base to installation at site (8.8 Gr or 10.9 Gr. as per IS :1367 Part 3&6) under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge. Heat treatment to be carried out & the gangway roller should be incorporated with a brass / gun metal bush bearing for easy lubrication and a greasing point to make. The drawings to prepare and got approved from the Engineer-in-charge.

The Fabricated Gangway shall be loaded along with all sundry items such as Anchors, Anchor chains, Yoke with assemblies on the Pontoon for towing the same to jetty installation sites safely under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge

The Gangway shall be secured with pontoon bollards with 'D' shakle under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

The Gangway shall be secured with pontoon bollards with 24.0 mm ɸ stud link chain under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Flap plate of 10.0 mm thick plate (3 nos) with stiffener's & chequering are to make & fix up to connect link platform with gangway, gangway with fixed ramp on pontoon ,fixed ramp with LCT vessel under instruction & satisfaction of engineer-in-charge.

Supply, installation, fitting-fixing and testing including necessary arrangement of erecting the light with all accessories ( with post ) all complete 40 W with Maximum LUMEN of 5500 outdoor LED / Solar Street Light under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge at the entrance of Gangway, Illumination of jetty, Link platform, Ticket counter with necessary fittings & fixture as per shipbuilding practice under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Re-Construction of R.C.C shore mooring bollards of 1.0 m3 each with 3 nos. rail piles in a 1.0 m3 4.0 mm thick steel box with necessary RCC materials including shuttering shall be constructed at approved location / position on the bank of river under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Ramp on Pontoon.

Provide, supply, test (certificate to provide) all steel (SAIL/TATA) (IS:2062 E 250 Grade A&B) fabricate with approved electrode (ESAB make or equivalent) including vertical & cross member, logitudinal & cross bracing , 16 mm thick chqd.plate including bollards etc.all complete as per design & approved drawings at approved location complying with ship building practice to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

The ramp after completion of fabrication shall be Mechanically & manually prior to apply 2 coats of Tuffkote ROZC primer & final 2 coat Black Bituminus (marine grade) under instruction & satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge

Link Platform

Ordinary Cement concrete (mix 1:1.5:3) with graded stone chips (20 mm nominal size) excluding shuttering and reinforcement if any, in ground floor as per relevant IS codes.

Reinforcement for reinforced concrete work in all sorts of structures including distribution bars, stirrups, binders etc initial straightening and removal of loose rust (if necessary), cutting to requisite length, hooking and bending to correct shape, placing in proper position and binding with 16 gauge black annealed wire at every intersection, complete as per drawing and direction.(a) For works in foundation, basement and upto roof of ground floor/upto 4 m.(i) Tor steel/Mild Steel.SAIL/ TATA/RINL

Hire and labour charges for shuttering with centering and necessary staging upto 4 m using approved stout props and thick hard wood planks of approved thickness with required bracing for concrete slabs, beams and columns, lintels curved or straight including fitting, fixing and striking out after completion of works (upto roof of ground floor) (a) 25 mm. to 30 mm. thick wooden shuttering as per decision & direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Filling in foundation or plinth by silver sand in layers not exceeding 150 mm as directed and consolidating the same by thorough saturation with water, ramming complete including the cost of supply of sand. (payment to be made on measurement of finished quantity)

Plaster (to wall, floor, ceiling etc.) with sand and cement mortar including rounding off or chamfering corners as directed and raking out joints including throating, nosing and drip course, scaffolding/staging where necessary (Ground floor).[Excluding cost of chipping over concrete surface](a) With 4 : 1 cement mortar.(i) 19 mm thick plaster.

Neat cement punning about 1.5mm thick in wall, dado, window sill, floor etc. NOTE:Cement 0.152 cu.m per100 sq.m.

Brick soling with picked jhama bricks including preparation of bed as necessary with brick joints properly filled in and packed with powdered earth and including necessary cushion of similar material below the soling (and in between layers when more than one layer is used) completes as per direction. Soling or dry pavement with one brick-on-edge laid in herring bone pattern over a layer of brick flat (thickness 125 mm plus 75 mm)

Artificial stone in floor, dado, staircase etc with cement concrete (1:2:4) with stone chips, laid in panels as directed with topping made with ordinary or white cement (as necessary) and marble dust in proportion (1:2) including smooth finishing and rounding off corners including raking out joints or roughening of concrete surface and application of cement slurry before flooring works using cement @ 1.75 kg/sq.m all complete including all materials and labour. In round floor. 3 mm. thick topping (High polishing grinding on this item is not permitted with ordinary cement). Using grey cement (iii) 35 mm. thick

Applying Exterior grade Acrylic primer of approved quality and brand on plastered or cencrete surface old or new surface to receive decorative textured (matt finish) or smooth finish acrylic exterior emulsion paint including scraping and preparing the surface throughly, complete as per manufacturer's specification and as per direction of the EIC.. (In Ground Floor) One Coat. Exterior grade Acrylic Primer.

Earth work in excavation of river channels in all kinds of soil including silt, sand, slush etc. mixed with all sorts industrial wastes, sewages, municipal garbages, carcasses, Tannery effluents, bushes, semi solid / solid compact mass, water hyacinth, cowdung deposits, decomposed vegetations, polythenes, brick bats, gravels, stone ballast, crates, remnant of bullah and bamboo pins etc., etc. by means of suitable floating type dredger mounted on pontoon or any other means ( minimum depth of water 1.50 m. to maintain during the ebb-tide / low water of the river) specially made to suite the site condition in tidal channel / river and carrying of the excavated materials to suitable locations to the channel from the point of excavation by arrangements in a manner suited for the purpose including all lifts. ( The cost for the above work includes the cost of hire charges of dredger including all accessories, excavators, Diesel machine operated boats, pontoons, pumps, pipe lines etc. and including the cost for mobilisation, demobilisation, maintenance, cost of fuel and lubricants, wages of operators and labours and all other incidental charges as may be necessary for the above work and the rate also includes the charges of dismantling and re-erection of machine dredger, pontoons, pipe lines etc. if necessary during the tide of the river, including taking out carefully for the interest of work.

Installation of the informatory sign board
