The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - 10 years in construction for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering / Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering. - 3 years experience in Road Works for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering / Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering. - 3 years experience for a Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering. - 4 years experience for others (Supervisor, Science Graduate). The bidder should have experience as a prime contractor or sub-contractor in the last five years preceding the bid invitation. The bidder must have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. In terms of specific values and percentages, - if the amount put to bid is more than Rs. 200 lakhs, the bidder should have a financial turnover of 75% of the amount put to bid. - for amounts less than or equal to Rs. 200 lakhs, the bidder should have a financial turnover of 60% of the amount put to bid. - in Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, these figures are reduced to 50%. - the value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this requirement.
