The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - For Technical Personnel for construction work: - A. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering / Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 10 years in construction, with 3 years road experience. - B. Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years experience. - C. Others (Specify): Supervisor, Science Graduate, with 3 years experience, and 4 years experience for field testing laboratory. - For routine maintenance: - A. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years road experience. - B. Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years road experience. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this sub-clause. In the last five years, the bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover, with at least 50% of which being from Civil Engineering construction works, equivalent to: - 60% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs or less, - 75% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is more than Rs.200 lakhs. In Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figures of 60% and 75% would be replaced by 50%. The turnover will be indexed at the rate of 8% per year. No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned, but the bidder is required to provide details of work performed as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume. Subcontracting of components of the works for construction/up-gradation is allowed, aggregating to not more than 25 percent of the contract price. The amount and deductible for insurance is mentioned as 1% of the estimated cost of construction put to tender.
