Providing & applying 1.2 mm thick TPO/FPA (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) polyester mesh reinforced membrane under brand Masterseal 750TPE of M/s. MASTER BUILDERS SOLUTIONS / Sintofoil RT of M/s. TECHNONICOL/ Proofex ORG of M/s. FOSROC or approved equivalent produced by extrusion of granules resulting from the incorporation of ethylene propylene rubber into a polypropylene matrix together with other appropriate additives, over a 300gsm polyester based Geo Fabric membrane with minimum 100 mm overlap as separation layer between tar felt substrate and TPO/FPA membrane. The existing tar felt shall be cleaned and repaired with tar base products as per requirement depending on site condition, corner laps shall be welded properly to get sound base on which membrane shall be fixed. All sharp edges, fins and rough surfaces that could damage the membrane will be removed & cracks if any shall be cut into V groove and the same shall be sealed with cement sand mortar admix with Hydroproof Xtra of M/s. FOSROC/ Latex Power of M/s. SIKA or other approved equivalent @ 3% by weight of cement. The membrane shall have two different colours, sand grey on top and black on the underside to identify any damages that may occur during application. Membrane Laps are overlapped to achieve a minimum weld of 40mm. Laps shall be Hot air welded by hand applied using TRIAC PID or by means of automatic machines by hot wedge welders. Corner detailing shall be addressed using Fosroc Proofex OGP Internal/External corner pieces or other approved equivalent fixed with aluminium channel/angle/flats by nailing to the substrate at vertical. TPO membrane will be anchored with existing RCC surface using 10X140mm stainless steel plastic anchors of M/s. FISCHER/HILTI/WUERTH or approved equivalent with double stainless steel washers @1000mm c/c bothways. The TPO membrane will be secured with aluminium strip on vertical up stands, used in conjunction with FOSROC Nitoseal PU 40/DOWSIL 580 of M/s. DOW or approved equivalent and epoxy mortar (as per site condition) between the membrane and the substrate and termination channel under compression behind the termination bar. The termination bar must be installed directly into the wall surface and mechanically fixed using appropriate stainless steel fasteners at maximum 300mm centres. All termination should be done using automatic nailing gun at any level, location as per specification including removing and re-fixing of lightening arrester etc. as directed by EIC.

Contractor should submit the authorization letter issued to the applicator from the manufacturer in original letter head with contact details of the concerned person. 2) MTC should be submitted to the EIC to get approval from the department. 3) The contractor shall get written approval from the EIC, for waterproofing agency is engaged and shall submit the specification of the waterproofing work before commencement of work. Inspection to be carried out by the department for approval of samples before bulk procurement. 4) Necessary tests of random sampling at site should be carried out by the contractor from NABL accredited laboratory without cost to the department. Contractor should quote rates accordingly. 5) The contractor shall furnish guarantee bond on appropriate stamp paper in standard proforma between Manufacturer with their applicator and contractor with department as per section 10(iii) Conditions and Clauses of Contract 2008 for the entire waterproofing treatment for maintaining the surroundings and under side surfaces of the waterproofing treatment in bone dry condition for 10 years. During the guarantee period the contractor shall attend all leakages, defects etc. if noticed, free of cost, starting the work of checking up and rectification within a week’s time from the date of intimation about such leakages/defects. 6) Periodic visit of technical persons from the manufacturer during execution of work to be ascertained. 7) After completion of work completion certificate from manufacturer to be submitted to the department through their authorised applicator.
